Titled "Intensivist" at Advent Health, Daytona Beach, FL. Point of contact for 5th floor ICU. This MD presents as "in charge" of a family members care. One telephone contact and one face to face to date, confirms this MD has a "script" (dialogue was close to identical) and appears designed to steer family in direction desired by MD acting as proxy for the corporate entity, his employer. The agenda is evident. Delivered via rehearsed, practiced, parsed tone under the pretense of concern for "best interests". Nothing substantive. Stating the obvious, sprinkled with cliche perfunctory key words ie: should (pt) 'pull through', 'quality of life' followed by the predictable prediction "low". All designed to lead vulnerable family to voluntarily consent to; ex: discontinuation of ventilatory support, most likely, resulting in death in the name of "comfort care" "what is 'best'". Euthanasia. Now with family positioned as proxy for .. An intrusive ghoul sucking precious visit time.
