After receiving a Basal Cell Carcinoma report from the pathologist, I was referred to Dr. Marra for further treatment. Yup, scary to read the C-word (although, with respect to those with more aggressive forms, the easiest to treat). My perhaps irrational concerns were addressed during my first visit as a consultation for treatment. Dr Marra presented options in an understandable way and succinctly addressed my questions. I left the office reassured of a plan but needed to check on summer travel plans. In a phone call the next day with his office, I was able to get in next day for the procedure. As I write this, the procedure has been completed. He and his staff were compassionate, punctual, & professional.

Dr. Marra evaluated my need for a Moh’s surgery and said, let’s first try using a prescribed cream. he directed me to use the cream for two weeks and then take four weeks off and then come back and see him… he is open to other options, not just surgical remedy. I had him as my surgeon for two prior events. In 2016 and then again in 2018. Dr. Marra uses a unique procedure to close the surgery site and it leaves no scar… Really no evidence that he was ever there working on your skin. This man is very, very gifted.

Check-in was efficient, professional and friendly. Wait was 10 minutes. Intake experience was excellent and when Dr. Marra entered the consult room, he was so friendly but totally professional. He examined my AK site for possible excision, and the surrounding area, but as a first step he recommended treatment of the area with a cream, then return in 6 weeks for the excision. He explained that the cream was to eliminate probable need for additional AK surgeries and to possibly reduce the size of the existing one. Everything was explained. I've had five prior Mohs surgeries and I can vouch for Dr. Marra's knowledge, manner and professionalism. He is absolutely one of the best I have treated with and I am fortunate to be one of his patients.

They are both professional and efficient in their medical care as they prepared me for my procedure with Dr. Marra. Dr. Marra has a friendly, caring demeanor and immediately demonstrated his concern for my care with his personal attention to concerns to questions or any anxieties I may have had. His, and his medical staff, put me at ease with their care for me as an individual to ensure I was informed and ready for the medical proceeds to begin. As Dr. Marra and his medical staff proceeded with my care their medical skills, knowledge and experience were immediately evident and they continued to show great care for me as a person. This is not my first medical procedure with Dr. Marra. With my first procedure, during the after care and follow up appointments, the same personal care and medical skills continued.
