I am a senior/cancer patient, assigned to Dr. Diane Hershock by Penn State Health, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She is a graduate of Penn; her credentials are very impressive on paper. We were less impressed after the first appointment. There is a sign in the office saying to check in with staff if you are not called within 20 minutes of your appointment time. After check-in, we waited an hour and a half to meet Dr. Hershock; a clinical physician with a cold bedside manner. 3 days following my first Hershock prescribed Chemo session; I suffered a stroke. At the post-stroke (second) appointment, the very first words uttered by Dr. Herschock were "any questions?" Really? No plan to adjust my chemo levels following a stroke? I guess if I had no questions, the appointment would have concluded? Fortunately, I was able to get re-assigned to Dr. Almokadem, who promptly adjusted (reduced) my Chemo level. That allowed me to complete the full course of treatment with no further incident.
