My children were at my appointment with me and she asked me if the father of my unborn child was 'different'. I said, 'Yes, different'. She replied, 'Completely different?' I confirmed that the father was completely different. I found it strange that she didn't understand the first answer that I provided. She performed a prenatal ultrasound but wasn't able to get a clear fetal image. Given the technology isn't the best in getting good imaging (medical professionals confirmed this information) and that Ms. Kim also admitted that she didn't know how to use the machine well, I was surprised that she didn't seek help from a colleague as my walk-in physician had done in the past. I had prior walk-in visits that displayed gestational ages that aligned with the only 2 possible conception dates and my cycle info, but Ms. Kim indicated that the fetus appeared 'small'. Before I could explain why her determined due date wasn't accurate, she replied, 'What do you want it to be?'
