I had a great experience with Dr Blum. I was being treated at Stanford neurology in 2011, but their team could not figure out what was wrong with me. I was then referred to Dr. Diane Bloom who after my first visit, viewing all my labs, scans and symptoms diagnosed me with hemiplegic migraines. At that time, I was unable to function because I had these symptoms for 2 months before she diagnosed me. My symptoms were: - weakness on the right side of my body (face, arm, and leg. - numbness and tingling in the right side of my body. - flashes of light, and other vision issues - trouble speaking or slurred speech - Memory and concentration issues - drowsiness. - dizziness. I'm writing this on behalf of my father. Dr. Blum treated him for Parkinson's for several years until he died last fall. She is wonderful, kind, and caring, and explains things well. She was a huge advance over every other doctor he had been to–able to make big changes with small adjustments to his medication. She's also extremely responsive. Whenever we contacted her she would respond within the hour, if not minutes. and was always positive and hopeful. She's just a terrific doctor.
