Worst Doctor I've Ever Met.. and that says a lot
I was rushed to UMass via ambulance after experiencing a sudden postpartum hemorrhage when my baby was 6 weeks old. Despite the fact that I didn't deliver at UMass, 95% of the staff was very kind and sweet. Unfortunately, I had to wait 24 hours before I could have surgery in order for certain medications to be out of my system. Because of this, I never laid eyes on the person who would be conducting my surgery until I was wheeled down to the OR. When Dr. Kannabiran approached me, she seemed kind enough. That ended when I had questions about what was already a sensitive situation... hello, I just had to leave my baby as I was whisked away by EMTs. I asked how much bleeding to expect following the procedure since I was traumatized from what had happened beforehand, so I would know if I should be concerned after I was discharged. Her response was 'I don't know, I don't know how much you were bleeding yesterday'. I got back from the OR and cried. I was still terrified, no thanks to her.

She was not comforting, when scary news was delivered, she was cold and very medical, she has zero “bedside manner”. She ignored complaints about pregnancy. She never followed up on issues regarding pain, blood pressure, etc. I was in the hospital over a week and she never saw me. Post pregnancy concerns never addressed. Go to someone else who takes pride in their job and provides compassionate care, because she does not.

She rounded on me while I was admitted at the hospital. She was completely condescending and rude. I complained about her to the head of the department. I would never refer anyone to her either. She is egotistical and extremely rude.

I would never refer anyone to this doctor. She was combative and condescending. I was seeking treatment for recurring generic infections. She insisted that I be seen *in office* for treatment, rather than sending in a prescription refill. In order to be seen in her office, appointments could be in excess of TEN DAYS of waiting with a yeast infection! And when I sought treatment through Planned Parenthood, or an urgent care, her office refused to accept their documentation. Just awful
