The waiting is to be less desired. I wish there was a way to move patients quicker through. Dr. Holt and his associates are a joy to converse concerns. They are receptive to what you have to say. Thank you

Pros and cons
Dr. Holt and his staff are great. However, the wait times are always frustrating. My son did not have dilation this appointment, which was scheduled for 3:10. We were not called back for the initial part until just after 4:30. We waited for another 45 (give or take) minutes before seeing Dr. Holt. To be at a pediatric eye appointment for nearly 2.5 hours without dilation is mind blowing. You can feel the tension in the waiting room as everyone was frustrated or disappointed with the lengthy wait times. That being said, the staff are doing their best and are friendly, even under the stressful environment. Again, we do like Dr. Holt as a provider, but the wait times need a huge improvement.

Friendly and professional
This office is great, despite long wait times. Plan to be there for 4 hours and if you are out in 2 consider yourself lucky. They have a clean waiting room with snacks and drinks if you ask for them and a quiet room for nursing or sleeping babies. They have a toy chest for after the visit that my son loves to get a trinket from. Dr. Is friendly and great with my son. We have had a great experience all 3 times we go, just plan accordingly and don’t need to get anywhere after if you can help it.

You will wait forever
Be prepared to wait- hours. We were initially seen an hour and a half after our appointment time. Total time in the office was over 2 hours. There’s got to be a better way.

Long wait to see him
Been taking my daughter here for a couple years now and every time I come I’m waiting 2 hours or more just for my kid to see him for 3-5 mins. The excuse is always the same, they are short staff.

Excellent service
Staff was friendly and help when showing up 40mins late to my appointment due to traffic. Was able to be seen minutes later. Really great service!! The pediatric waiting room could be bigger though.

Excellent eye care physician
About 8 years ago when my daughter was about 9 years old she was diagnosed with a rare eye condition. Dr. Holt took immediate actions to make sure her condition did not get worse and kept seeing her until her eyes improved. She’s going to turn 18 soon but I know she’ll be in good hands with Dr. Holt. Very caring and meticulous doctor. I highly highly recommend him.

Best Doctor Ever
I loved how the stuff took time to understand my girls and how they looked for ways to make things work with them. I love how the doctor explains what is done and the progress in my girls. They are all so friendly that they make me feel happy every time we go for my girls appointment.

Mixed Feelings
Dr. Holt is great. The entire waiting time is atrocious. Why schedule an appointment if it’s going to be a 2-3 hour wait to even be seen? What’s the point of an appointment if there is zero respect for the time. Every single time we have an appointment the process takes 3-4 hours with 95% of it being waiting in the waiting room for something to happen. Please respect peoples time better.

Highly recommend for double vision.
Dr. Holt is very knowledgeable about the severe problems I have with my double vision. Some doctors recommend that I get surgery. After Dr. Holt clarifies the risks involved with and without surgery, he said, the choice is up to me. He noted that both choices come with a risk. His clarification and explanation really gives me a peace of mind about my choices.

Telehealth
The wait is incredible! I spent 2 hours in the waiting room. It is a 2 hour 15 min drive to Dr. Holt, so added to my wait time, it took the better part of a day. I live near Yosemite Nat’l. Park. I think Dr. Holt is a great physician and am complying with his request to do nothing right now and wait till I stabilize a bit more and then see him in 4 months. Then I may need a new prescription. (I had a stroke in Jan.)

Dr. Holt is a great doctor but he is routinely overbooked. Our appointment was at 10:30 this morning. It is currently 12:26 and we are still waiting to be seen by him.
