Dr. Deren Bagsby, MD

Being a good surgeon is not only knowing how to use a scalpel or whatever they use now days in the OR. It is someone who knows how to treat and show concern for their patients outside of the OR as well. I have dealt with many physicians and surgeons in my lifetime. But, my heart dances with joy as I think of Dr. Bagsby and his team. Dr. Bagsby is one of the most caring surgeons I have ever met. I cry tears of joy now when I am reminded of their responds to my pain. When you are hurting and in pain Dr. Bagsby and his team hear your cry and help dry your tears. Because they care. It is going on one year and two months since my TKR. And there maybe the possibility that one day I will need the other knee replaced. Needless to say it will be Dr. Bagsby performing. No, I may never dance with the stars but I will one day dance with Dr. Bagsby.

Dr. Bagsby..Is a very skillful surgeon, and is so very insightful and friendly..He has preformed 1 hip surgery and 1 knee surgery and recently moved to Fayetteville and I could have had another surgeon to do my other knee because Dr. Bagsby is now further away, but chose to follow him..I truly believe he is a very fine surgeon..

Originally Met Dr bagsby on December 18th after trying to break up 2 of my dogs and was accidentally bitten on lower left arm. Turned out bone was shattered and plate was out in. My last visit may 10 was very helpful and informative. He is always very patient and understanding but also straightforward and honest about what is best for the future.

He's a doctor that really cares, he did surgery on in my wrist and di an awesome job

Got checked in as soon as I arrived and was called back quickly. Then taken for an X-ray. Returned to exam room and Dr Bagsby was in within 5 minutes. He reviewed X-ray with me, gave me some instructions and had me on my way. Very impressed with the efficiency I experienced. Emerge is a great health provider and Dr Bagsby an outstanding surgeon.

It was on time, I was seen and out in a timely manner. It wasn’t a rushed appointment and I feel Dr. Bagsby is a great Dr. who cares about his patients.

Dr. Bagsby is very professional. He explained everything well and he listened to me. I have other medical issues going on and I was upset right before I arrived. He and his nurse assistant noticed this. I was super impressed because they put their pen and paper down, sat directly in front of and let me spill my heart out. Outstanding service! He explained and administered my treatment. It was practically painless. I would recommend Dr. Bagsby to all family and friends, even to a total stranger.

Very personable, explained everything he did during diagnosis in layman’s terms, fully explained his plan of action. All the good things you expect from your physician.

I am very pleased with the staff cus they were able to get me in right away. Have knee problems for awhile now and I was in pain and they got me in a day after I called in. I waited awhile once I got in the treatment room but there was this lady and ask me if I wanted to see a PA cus Dr. Deren is running behind. I told her that I will wait for Dr. Deren. I think that is so nice of her for asking. I like Dr. Deren because he is very professional, friendly, straight to the point, explain it in details and he will be talking to you what he is about to do. I am pleased with everything from the staff in Clayton, Smithfield offices and the doctors Dr. Deren Bagsby and Dr, Elizabeth Bagsby.

Had a hip replacement surgery and hip went fairly well. Advised me too go through physical therapy for 4-6 weeks. The excercises did nothing for IT Band syndrome and hip bursitis. Went to physical therapy for almost 6 months with visits along the way too see him again. Honestly I feel like the physical therapy did more damage to my lower back and did not help my chronic bursitis or IT Band that were torn. Dr's assistant told me to go back and see the Dr. Scheduled appointment only the be told to continue doing physical therapy. I've decided to take a home remedy approach. Useless visit to arrogant Dr on my last visit. Not only did my hip bursitis and torn IT Band get worse during PT but they burned up my entire 30 visits that my insurance company will allow for a one year period. I honestly got no help with my issues other than my hip. Now if I want them to guide me to do PT that does not work thus far, my insurance company will not pay for more visits. Very little help post surgery.

My experience with Dr. Bagsby has been excellent! I was in need of total hip replacement and my initial visit with Dr. Bagsby he took the time to answer all my question and explain the procedure to my understanding. The care he has provide pre and post hip replacement this far is beyond anything I could have expected! I would highly recommend him to anyone.

The visit was good. Information was provided as to my problem. Solution to help resolve the problem was given. Did not have to wait long.

Initial consult on left knee injury was very professional and thorough. Dr.Bagsby answered any questions and was clear about the diagnostic process.

Dr Bagsby did a total hip replacement for me. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff.
