I saw Dr. Steinbacher for a consultation regarding orthognathic surgery to correct my malocclusion and compromised dentition. I clearly presented myself to Dr. Steinbacher and his office as a prospective orthognathic surgery case. During the consultation, he brought up inappropriately cosmetic recommendations, which were later reflected in the surgery quote. Because the nature of the consultation changed from my original purpose for seeing Dr. Steinbacher, as he injected the cosmetic recommendations, I didn’t get to address all of my medical concerns. Also, I have to say Dr. Steinbacher’s office was very difficult to work with. His office refused to send me a revised quote, excluding the cosmetic recommendations that my insurance wouldn’t likely cover. Even Dr. Steinbacher a few days ago told me that the office could send me a revised quote. I haven’t received that quote, even though I had an email and call yesterday from the Practice Manager, who didn’t acknowledge my repeat requests

I have wanted a rhinoplasty for years, spent countless hours researching & consulted with doctors ALL over; from Turkey to California; & after evaluating all of my options, it was a no brainer to move forward with Doctor Steinbacher. I traveled to Connecticut from out of state, & it was 100% worth it. I am beyond thankful I chose him, & I knew immediately after my initial consultation that he was who I trusted. Doctor Steinbacher’s dedication to his patients was evident; he listened to all of my concerns, he answered all of my questions, & he truly made me feel like a priority; unlike some of my previous consultations, which felt rushed & impersonal. Despite only being 3 months post-op, I could not be happier with my results. My face was badly damaged by another surgeon. Dr Derek Steinbacher had offered to fix my face. In spite of being extremely busy person, he has called me over phone and emailed me multiple times. If the actual outcome is anything like his kindness...he actually cares. To be clear i still have not had or decided any procedure with him but his pre surgery involvement so far deserves 5 stars.

I have had an amazing experience with Dr. Steinbacher over the past six years. He performed double jaw surgery to correct facial alignment in 2015 and the results were life-changing! Not only do I have an enhanced physical appearance and renewed self-confidence, but my ability to speak, breathe, and eat is significantly improved. A few months later I underwent a rhinoplasty by Dr. Steinbacher which improved my breathing and day-to-day life even further! Dr. Steinbacher did an incredible job on my jaw surgery back in 2016. The results exceeded my expectations and the procedure was truly life changing. Him and his entire team created a comfortable environment, and made what seemed like would be such a scary procedure, feel so safe and pleasant. Good afternoon. Approximately 8-10 years ago I had Mohs surgery at Yale. Allison Hanley was my surgeon. The surgery was on my right ear. The spot in question was small (or so we all thought). When Dr Hanley was done, ¼ to 1/3 of my ear was gone. There was no plan ahead, as to what we should do with that much ear gone. I left the Mohs center alone. Driving home I could not think of anything else. I think I was in shock. Dr Hanley took a picture of the damage and asked two surgeons if they were interested. Answer, ‘no’. She contacted Dr Steinbacher. He asked if I could meet him the next day and the rest is history. Fast forward. I was at the same Mohs center for a spot on my right cheek last Tuesday. They saw in my chart that I had been there before. The reason I am writing is because, to a person, they had to ask which ear. What better compliment to Dr Steinbacher? I have told people over the years about my ear and when told which ear it was, they were surprised. G

I have the highest regard for Dr. Steinbacher. He performed surgery on my son to correct a facial abnormality and the results were outstanding. Not only did Dr. Steinbacher successfully correct the underlying issue, he also enhanced my son’s physical appearance with subtle but powerful modifications which added both beauty and symmetry to his face. Dr. Steinbacher is the absolute greatest surgeon around. He creates results one hundred times better than famous surgeons celebrities use. The techniques and precision of his rare work amazed me. After meeting Dr. Steinbacher, I cancelled the rest of my consultations with other surgeons. I knew from the first time meeting with him that there was no other surgeon who could do the work he does. In my opinion, he is absolutely the best in his field. After my procedure (a bilateral otoplasty), I realized just how much Dr. Steinbacher understands the anatomy of the face. My ears came out perfect, and they really improved my self confidence and daily life!
