Came in exam room with 2 students, told me there was nothing wrong with my back. Odd, as 3 neurosurgeons said my back had severe problems. Do NOT recommend him.

Severe lower back pain
Dr. Snook was very clear and professional with his diagnosis and explained the necessary treatment. Urgency was expressed and surgery was scheduled timely. As a doctor myself, I am impressed with Dr. Snook's surgical skills. Although the first few days were rather uncomfortable, as he predicted. Within a week post-op I was moving and standing better, and with less pain, than anytime before the surgery. Dr. Snook is excellent at what he does and gets results.

The Dr spent three minutes with me. Told me to schedule an appointment with the pain management specialist. Are doctors so micromanaged that I need several appointments to make a plan to rid of my constant pain. If there was a zero rating that’s what I would use.

New patient
Dr. Snook came in with an asssistant . He was dressed in a very classy suit and tie and they both shook our hands. They sat and asked my husband who was there to see him for a second opinion on his neck pain what his complaints were. They took the time to listen with understanding. Never interrupt mating or acting anything but with compassion. Completely opposite than the arrogant surgeon we saw at another hospital. It was refreshing and so needed. Dr. Snook didn’t sugarcoat saying he could guarantee 100% he could fix everything but would definitely be able to help my husband relieve his pain and get back some of his functionality. If I could rate him a 10+ I would!

My lumbar fusion was a mess,I couldn't get any help from Dr Snook after the surgery to find out why I couldn't walk. After almost 2 years of things getting worse I finally found a Dr that redone the fusion and found screws in my spine hitting the nerves as well as a pinched nerve in between the plate and a disk

Dr Snook is the best!
I’ve had two back surgery from Dr Snook. The second one he fused some disks together. They were for two different problems. He is very knowledgeable and genuinely concerned for me health. For each surgery it was a very good experience prior to and after I went to the operating room. The whole team came to me and introduced themselves and explained how they were assisting Dr Snook prior to me going in the operating room. They all made me feel comfortable. They made me feel like I was a name and not a number. The follow up visits were also very good. I hope I never need another surgery but if I do it will be with Dr Snook!

Dr Snook Rocks
He performed spine surgery on me in 2018 after being referred to me by a friend who worked in the surgery department at a local hospital. The surgery was great at first but after about 6 months the excruciating nerve pain radiating down to my ankles returned. I went back to Dr Snook and he recommended another spine surgery in 2019. This was all very disappointing but after the second surgery everything has been absolutely fine for years now. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr Snook had my best interest in mind through the whole process. I would go back to him in a heartbeat.

Avoid Dr. Snook
I had a 11 cm herniation at L5-s1 years ago and he recommended PT and an injection. Injection lasted 1 week. I made another appointment due to the pain and was seen by an associate in his office. The first thing he said walking into the exam room was “ you know you need surgery, right?” No, I did not. Surgery was not once mentioned by Dr. Snook period in the initial exam, not the follow up after radiology or during the injection. He was padding pockets for all the visits he could get and not giving a care to my issues. Needless to say I made sure all my other care was done by a more competent and caring surgeon. I was absolutely miserable waiting to get into a different Ortho but refused to give his office another dime.

Had a visit with Dr. Snook for a back injury from a car accident. Although a partner in JIS referred me to him, Dr. Snook was unprepared (had not reviewed my file nor looked at the MRI). He was condescending and dismissive. Basically the pain will go away or I just have to live with it.

Dr. Snook did a 3 level Spinal Fusion on me in May 2019. My neurosurgeon had told me he could not do anything for my severe back pain. He told me just take the pain medicine. My Fusion was 8 weeks ago and I have not felt this good for 10 years. I would highly recommend Dr. Snook.
