If you are a person that asks questions, don’t go to this doctor. My first visit was good but my follow up was terrible. I had some concerns, blew me off and said well it’s not broken. He was running behind, he was in the room literally a minute and stood up and walked out while I was asking questions.

Dr. Miller. Very Bad People Skills
He has no time for his patients. He will lie about things and does not always follow up on things he should . Untrustworthy.

Very happy with my experience. Had a bad tib/fib multiple fracture. The x-rays looked like a mess. Had a nail installed the day after the accident and just finished up with my last appointment. The outcome has been great. Was back to walking unassisted just before the 3-month mark which was way better than my expectation. Interactions with staff and the Dr. have always been professional and efficient - which I appreciate - I have other things to do and he has other surgeries to get done. He provided the information and feedback needed for a successful recovery. Clearly very competent. Hope I don't need these services again, but if I do, I'll be seeking him out.

Dr. Derek Miller is the best Orthopedic Surgeon in Southwest Missouri in my opinion. Started seeing him in 2017 for severe hip pain, both hips and knee pain. Over the next 1 1/2 years I had 3 surgeries. Both hip replacements and full knee replacement. Have not had any pain whatsoever in any of them. Was born with hip dysplasia and 1 leg shorter than the other and he corrected and fixed both hips and my knee to include lengthening my left leg an straightening my right leg. He is the absolute best doctor I've ever had. He was the only doctor after years of consults that believed I was truly in pain.

He's a nice guy and a good doc, but if you have post-surgery complications he doesn't want to talk to you or hear about it. Zero interest, and he doesn't bother with trying to hide the fact he's annoyed at you for wasting his time. In my case, the other orthos in the area don't want to take on trying to fix his mistake, so I'm doomed to walk through life with a kee the size of a basketball.
