Dr. Derek Crouthers, MD

I have had office visits, and Telehealth and was very pleased with both modalities. Several members of my extended family now see Dr. Crouthers and we can’t say enough good things about his bed side manner, extensive knowledge to address all of our problems. Great Doctor.

I've never had a doctor actually discussion options for my medical care and take the time to discuss them with me. Most of them just say, 'I want you to do 'this.' He actually takes the time to discuss all the options and the benefits and drawbacks of different types of treatments. And while he does recommend a specific treatment, he actually give you the option of which treatment option you want to pursue. He does this not only with in-person visits, but with Telehealth appointments also. Great doctor and I highly recommend him.

Im a relatively healthy person dealing with an unknown chronic condition. After explaining my symptoms in detail Crouthers gave me medicine for an unrelated condition based on a hunch, that is without any testing. The medicine ended up causing alot of other problems and making the problem worse, luckily i realized my worsening state was the medication itself and stopped before it caused real damage. The damage the medication could have caused was a long list of very serious complications that Crouthers did not bother to tell me about when prescribing it. After i asked if the problem could be an infection he quickly jumped to antibiotics, without any mention of testing. When i brought this up to him, that he was being reckless in his approach to medicine, he sent me a certified letter disowning me as a patient and stating i am banned from the entire network of doctors in the hospital system. Is this what you want in a doctor? Id expect this response from a BPD ex, not a PhD.

I had my first visit with the Dr. June, 3rd, Friday. He went over my prescriptions with me. He asked questions. He brought up some new ideas with me. He is waiting to acquire some blood test results from one of my specialists. When he get these, he is going to call me and talk with me about some new, (smart) medications that maybe better for me in the long run. He is very easy to talk to and he is very down to earth. I really appreciated the time he took with me. I will be a returning patient.
