Dr. Derek Baumbouree, MD

Dr. Baumbouree has been the Primary Care Physician since 2014 of our three children, with one of them medically complex (life expectancy 3-14 days). We were concerned that our daughter would not have the same treatment due to her diagnosis. We have had many specialists that have not wanted to work with a medically fragile child. Dr. Baumbouree has gove above and beyond for not only my daughter, but for all three children. He has helped us assemble a team of doctors that have kept our family intact. Our children will be 9, 10 and 11 this year and we are forever grateful for Dr. Baumbouree.

He has been my pediatrician since my 4 month old was born. Diagnosed him with reflux at a month old and told me to give him rice cereal. When I told him the rice gave him incredibly bad gas pains he told me to try oatmeal. That ended up doing the same and when I told him so he just ignored my concerns and told me there was no way it was. My son has been screaming in pain for the past two months and we took him in to get him checked up. He told us he was eating too much and cut back his formula and that he was just crying to cry and to let him cry in his crib until he fell asleep. That was 2 weeks ago-ish. Today we took him to the hospital because he was inconsolable. He was dehydrated from not enough formula and has a suspected intolerance and I will never take my son to see this "Doctor" again.

Dr. Baumbouree is GREAT! He is very helpful, but, explains things very well. He takes action in figuring out the root of the problem, doesn't just write prescriptions with a guessed diagnosis as most Dr.'s do these days. I highly recommend this Dr.
