Dr. Dennis Smith, MD

I have not been seeing Dr. Smith very long, although long enough that I am comfortable rating both the Doctor and his staff 5 Stars. I say that largely based upon their communications skills as well as the patience that they showed to be certain that I fully understood the nature of my treatment plan, for lack of a better term. I know that the Doctor bounces around among perhaps a half dozen offices in our area and assuming that he doesn't take his staff members with him, I can only hope that his staffs at other office locations are as effective and professional as were those in the Jeffersonville and New Albany offices. All good people.

I have always found Dr. Smith to be very knowledgeable and compassionate. He is very thorough and explains well.

Dr. Smith is a pretty good doc, considering how many options you have (zero) other than first urology I have to say that he is a pleasant person that listens to your concerns, doesn’t talk down to you, welcomes 2nd opinions, and will do what you and he agree on, and nothing more. The practice itself is very frustrating with long wait times, very overbooked and overworked staff. I have waited up to 2 hours past My appt time, and I find that completely unacceptable. When you do see him though, he’s very thoughtful and thorough, but it’s hard to get past the inefficiency of the clinics.

I had nothing but great experiences working with Dr. Smith as I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Great follow-through, good bedside manner, excellent explanations of all that was going on at a very trying time.
