If I could rate 0 I would! Thankfully I only had one encounter with her as she was not my primary OB. She was consulting with my midwife and had to perform an ultrasound when I had to be unexpectedly induced. I was upset about being induced and had to be given drugs to start labor. She said “I hope you like yogurt because you’re going to get a yeast infection”. There was no explanation provided for why she said that nor was it necessary to even verbalize. Having only just been introduced and not having an established relationship with her, I can’t imagine how she treat patients in her care.

Horrible experience
One of the most unprofessional and inappropriate doctors I've ever had the misfortune of seeing. Someone who thinks that cohabitating with a committed partner is "living in sin" should not become an obgyn. The audacity of saying that, while examining me! Shame on you, Dr. Meckler. I can hardly believe you still have a medical license and you absolutely should not be continuing to see patients. First, do no harm. A doctor should never impose their own outdated ideology onto their patients.

Rude and Dismissive
I had a question outside of office hours about whether a situation I was experiencing was emergent, and Dr. Meckler was the on call doctor who returned the call. When Dr. Meckler called me back, she was extremely abrasive and dismissive. She belittled my concerns and acted like I was both stupid for possibly thinking my concern warranted an after hours call and that my concern couldn't possibly be valid. She also acted like it was a huge burden to have a literally 4 minute conversation with me regarding my concern at 7am. As an OB-GYN she should understand that not all medical concerns happen during office hours, not everyone keeps the same schedule as her, and that anyone calling with a suspected emergent medical situation should be treated with kindness and civility (really they should all the time but it is especially important in vulnerable medical situations). If I had any reason to think I would need to interact with Dr. Meckler again I would leave the practice.
