Dr. Denise Erdem, MD

In all my life, I have never had experiences with a doctor like I have had with this one. Every encounter I have had with her has been a rude one. I tried to dismiss it as her demeanor and continued to go to her, but I cannot continue to see a doctor who treats people this way. She is rude to me, rude to my mother, and extremely rude and condescending to my mother's caretaker. Former patients had warned me, and after experiencing myself, I will never go back. On top of this, her office is very difficult to communicate with and has failed at least 4 times to get in prescriptions when I needed them for myself of my mother. When asked about this, Dr. Erdem yelled at me saying that she "resented the implication" her office had done anything wrong. I told her I was simply relaying information I had from the University of Miami and Baptist Health who had told me that her office had failed to send them the necessary paperwork. She wouldn't listen to it and asked me to "transfer"doctors

I’ve been seeing Dr. Erdem since she took over for Dr. McLeod. She takes her time with the patient and always gives her full attention. She is patient in answering all my questions and she actually listens when I answer hers. I appreciate her common sense approach to problem solving. I have full trust in Dr. Erdem.

I’ve been going to Dr Erdem for years and dread the possibility that she may not be in my network if my insurance. I think she has a great bedside manner. She clarifies her diagnosis and always takes her time with you. I’ve never felt she’s anything but a pleasant, knowledgeable and patient doctor.

Very cold. Seemed to hold emotional baggage. Passive aggressive and did not let me get a word in. She made me feel uncomfortable to the point of tears.

I've been going to Dr. Erdem for years. She is kind, compassionate, and most importantly brilliant. She has a wonderful bedside manner, listens to me (even when I am being beyond ridiculous with my webmd diagnosis), and keeps my health where it belongs -- in the healthy corner. I highly recommend her to friends and family and trust her completely with the medical care of my aging parents.

I agree with the other review. Her mood changes and she contradicts herself. Her first diagnosis of a problem I had ended up being wrong. Also, if you're overweight she will blame EVERYTHING on that. She does not give you a chance to explain yourself or your symptoms. Just jumps to a diagnosis without hearing it all.

Her personality changes which makes her inconsistent. She does not hear how the patient feels, everything is normal. Not good!
