I started seeing Dr Bannister when my previous doctor of 30 plus years retried a few years ago and I am very pleased with every aspect of my care. I particularly appreciate her going beyond just treating my symptoms with a focus on my overall health.

Awful On-Call Experience with Dr. Bannister
Dr. Bannister was on-call for my physician. She is simply demeaning. She called the explanation of my issue "convoluted." I am a professional that is accustomed to delivering complex information and this was not even complex. She belittled me. I am not accustomed to that behavior coming from many of the excellent physicians that have served me so well without being condescending. Beware...

Dr. Bannister has been my wife's doctor for many years. I'm a new patient but Dr. is very impressive. She spent a considerable amount of time getting to know my medical history, issues and understanding my needs. She had immediate recommendations to treat me that have proven to be very effective. In addition, she scheduled me for a complete physical and follow-up visit after that to review my lab work. Great job and interaction with this internist.

About 2 years into college, I became seriously depressed. I visited Dr. Bannister in the hopes that she could either directly provide me help, or at least refer me to a therapist. Instead, Dr. Bannister told me that the depression was my own fault because I was “drinking too much.” Being so young, I didn’t want to believe that a doctor could be so wrong, so I chose to take her advice as tough love and move on. 10 years + a doctorate degree later, I realize just how negligent it all was.

Dr Bannister is only interested is pushing Meds for borderline numbers These number should never be one size fits all She was rude and her nurse was snippy with me I do not recommend her at all She would not listen to reason. Argues over how only strong meds work- not diet? No thank you I fired her!

This doctor discharged me as a patient for "missing an appointment" after multiple years as a patient, although no additional details and nothing in writing were ever provided to me, and cut off a medication that I relied on daily for over 2 years with no notice. When I called to say I had an appointment for a new patient exam but needed a refill to bridge the gap, Dr. Bannister told me to go to urgent care or the ER, and would not help me, even though there are significant withdrawal effects.

After waiting for over an hour, my experience only got worse. She suggested being my physician for a disease state I see a specialist for. I tried to explain an experience I had recently which I was concerned about, only to be scolded that She was trying to go over my meds. She prescribed a high dose of an anxiety meds. This was my first visit! I am a director in med sales, I know a little. Conclusion- it is a scary doctor who oversteps her medical training and doesn’t listen to her patients!

After implying my 20 year old daughter was making up her pain, we were fortunate to find many other doctors that did believe her. She had surgery a few weeks ago to remove cancer. Would NOT recommend this doctor
