Dr. Deepti Kurra, MD

So rude and not willing to listen to all my concerns and said I wasted her time. Treated me like a was dumb and slow repeated herself like I didn’t understand the first time. Waste of my time in reality, cause my issue was not solved to the patient (my) needs.

I have been with Dr. Kurra for about 3 years now and she has always taken my health issues seriously and she has helped me more then I could ever expected from her. She truly cares about her patients and she is truly compassionate. She also takes the time to really explain things with you and listens when you have questions or concerns. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I hope she stays in Marion for a long time.

We had scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kurra online. Unbeknownst to us, she was not accepting new patients. We were not informed of this prior to our scheduled appointment. On the day of the appointment, Dr. Kurra was obviously annoyed by this oversight. She was borderline rude and very dismissive to my Mother; asking me questions as if Mom wasn't even there. I could tell my Mother was flustered by the her demeanor and lack of compassion. She was also having difficulty hearing and understanding Dr. Kurra, thus causing her to respond slowly to questions. Based upon this observation, Dr. Kurra suggested to me that my Mother may be succumbing to dementia, which I know for certain that she is not! Had she taken more time speaking with her, this would have been evident. My Mother was mortified and on the verge of tears. It was infuriating to witness. Not very friendly. She does not listen well and seems to scold me more than listen to me.

Terrible experience. Came into the office for my annual physical which is covered by my husband's company at 100%. Due to the way the doctor coded some of the visit, $177.65 was billed to me. Numerous attempts were made to get this rectified. No one responded to my husband's request for explanation. Had to eventually pay the bill marked final notice.
