Excellent doctor
I’ve been a patient of Dr Rao’s for two years after being referred by my PCP. Dr Rao has always listened carefully to my concerns and explained my condition well, which I appreciated. I appreciate that he always responds to my questions via the patient portal in a timely manner and treats me as a partner in my care.

Honestly I am very dissatisfied. I went to Dr. Rao for joint pain & stiffness I've been experiencing for the past 3 years after I had a bad virus in 2018. Dr. Rao suspected it may be arthritis, so he did blood work & x-rays but did not find any signs of arthritis. I asked what else could be causing my symptoms, but Dr.Rao wasn't really interested in looking into any other causes. We agreed together that there wasn't anything else HE could do for me. I then went to my primary care who screened me for lyme & lupus. The lupus came back positive for antinuclear antibodies, meaning I most likely have an autoimmune disease. My primary care referred me to a new rheumatologist to narrow down what I have. I just wish Dr.Rao had done further screening to find out the reason for my symptoms. It seemed like he was downplaying my symptoms because I am young, and after arthritis was ruled out, just gave up on finding a diagnosis. So I wouldn't recommend going to him for anything besides arthritis.
