not a pleasant person
She is not a pleasant person and does not want to hear your opinions or concerns. she thinks drug treatment is the only avenue to treating your illness. unfortunatley my doctor who I had previously retired, and it has been a tough journey finding someone to fill her shoes. she was very good as listening understanding your needs because every one is different and has a different treatment they need... and she was ok with holistic approaches such as meditation and excercise as being a big component of managing my anxiety. I got the impression Dr. Barnett only sees medication as a form of treatment and a cure. I know that my anxiety is managable but it is part of my personality in this stage of my life and I feel it is better for it to be managed than trying to say it will be cured by drugging me up. I do not want to be a different person than who I am or someone I do not recognize by being doped up. I just want to be a better version of myself.

Not one bad experience here.
Dr. Barnett is a great psychiatrist in my opinion, she takes time and listens and gives input to help, explaining things in a straight forward but not pushy way, I always feel comfortable talking to her and never feel rushed. Her staff is always friendly and communicative about appointments. I'm pleased with my experience as a whole and appreciate her and her staff for a well run, friendly experienced atmosphere. There should be more like her.

This doctor is horrible! She wouldn’t even step into the hall to privately discuss my daughter’s care. She yelled at us from behind the reception desk. I was appalled at her lack of professionalism! Please do NOT go here.

Do not waste your time & money. Dr. Barnett doesn't ask any questions to diagnose you. After 12 years on Adderall for ADD, I came to her from out-of-state, and she told me ADD is often misdiagnosed for depression plus anxiety, and took me off Adderall. I have gained 40 lbs over 7 months due to this change, and the Modifinil to which she prescribed me is totally ineffective. She will only prescribe 30 days, so you have to continue paying her to prescribe.

eceive from Dr. Barnett. She has always been upfront, realistic, professional and willing to listen. She appointments late in the afternoon so I don't have to miss too much of my work. She referred me to Walter Hirtzel who sees me on Saturdays. Besides the convenience of after working hours appointments, these two professionals have been a life send. They have combined knowledge and experience with the practical application of treatment for borderline personality disorder. Love her still.

This woman has no business practicing medicine. She was unapologetically 1 hour late for our appointment. She had a very condescending, acusatory, and judgemental edge in the way she spoke to me. The drug screen she did came back positive for a medication I've never taken, but the prescribed medications I had taken were not detected? She never contacted me after her 'evaluation' to discuss her 'findings' or decisions. DO NOT SEE THIS CHARLATAN!! She doesn't care. She's after the money only.
