Poor treatment. When exessive testing didn't reveal any issue, harmful treatment was recommended anyway.

One of the most brilliant, caring doctors!
I can’t say enough about Dr. Debbie Cantrell. I have worked with leading neurologists in numerous states snd she is the most knowledgeable and has the highest standards of them all. She is a great listener and has a very caring personality. She diagnosed a condition that no one else could figure out. She is nationally known and is respected and called by doctors around the country. She is also on the cutting edge of medicine. I highly recommend her, as I do to my family and friends, who are incredibly grateful for her expertise and experience.

Literally a waste of time for terrible service
Like to be left waiting over an hour past your appt? Like to have your prescription not called in until hours after your appt? Like to be left hanging without meds that give you withdrawal headaches? Then she is the doctor for you. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. This year I only had to wait thirty minutes past my appt time (for my literally two minute “anything changed” check) and felt that was a “good” thing. Over it.

Do not use!
Very Disappointed in this office. I have been seeing Dr. Cantrell as a patient for about 15 years now and, unfortunately, will be looking for a new Neurologist in the future. #1 her office staff is rude - does not answer the phone with a greeting, do not try to offer solutions or help with scheduling and other issues #2 I am in the medical field myself, and I have not ever heard of a Dr withholding life saving medication. She refused to refill my prescription until I came in and saw her even though it has been less than a year. I have no insurance, so I am now paying out of pocket twice in one year for this visit. I would not recommend this physician or her office. There are to many neurologists out there to deal with this ridiculousness.

I'm incredibly happy with the care I'm getting from Dr. Cantrell. I came to her on a friend's recommendation after another neurologist totally failed me by ignoring how much dehabilitating pain I was in. At my first visit, Dr. Cantrell carefully listened to my long story of a head bump followed by facial pain and daily migraines. She had me feeling better within a week because she believed what I was saying! The testing has been a bit pricy but well worth it because I've been given back my life. The staff has always been polite and efficient. Wait time thus far has been very short and billing correct. I would recommend her to anyone who has been with neurologists who won't listen.

Great doctor, she finally found my true problem!
Have struggled with my epilepsy since high school; had several different neuro’s, then the newest one sent me to her with his hands up in the air. Yes, she sent me for a lot of tests, which I was grateful for in the end. It turned out that instead of only having the one type of epilepsy, I have three. This could not have been diagnosed without the testing. She has gotten me controlled and I’m living a much, much happier life! Yes, I take more medication than before, but control is worth it.

I have been a patient of Dr Combs Cantrell for a couple of years now, and she has truly given me my life back. I remember at my first appointment the care and patience she took getting to know my situation. All the time she took to understand everything happening with my migraines and health history. Then she worked with me on a medication path slowly updating meds until everything worked the way I needed it. She is so concerned about my well being, and takes her time to really ensure that I’m doing the best that I can.

Over dosed patient
Treated my dad for 20 years. We trusted her and when things began to be suspicious we found another Dr. Blood results showed dangerously high doses of meds. New protocol lowered meds and reduced seizure activity. Please save yourself and family extra grief and do not see her.

Dr. Cantrell is always very efficient and respects my time. But she will listen as long as I want to talk! Her staff is amazing and great with follow up. I have been seeing her over 25 years and will never leave!

Every single appointment I had with Dr. Cantrell I would wait an hour from the scheduled appointment time before she finally saw me. She also is horrendous with billing questions. There's no way to contact billing outside of a random service number that has no one answering where you leave a message hoping someone returns the call. After months of me leaving messages about a $20 charge on a bill that had no explanation I never got an answer and was forced to either issue a charge back or just pay it. She seems incredibly nice and might be an ok neurologist but the customer interactions are about as low as imaginable for a place still in business.

Has been nearly an hour late each time I have seen her. Doesn’t listen to my concerns or give more information when asked for it. I had many tests done that were ordered by her and she didn’t even look at some of the results before I went back to have her report them to me. Gave no explanation on the implications of my test results, just stated the diagnoses and gave me meds or ordered other specialists. Got an attitude any time I tried to inquire about what the diagnoses meant. I clearly asked for some more information on side effects associated with meds she prescribed me and she quickly got short with me and acted as if I was bothering her and wasting her time. She took not even the smallest amount of time to check my other meds on my record and see if they were safe to take with what she was prescribing me; when asked if they were safe she just said “well I don’t know what else you are on, just talk to the pharmacist.” Very unprofessional and irresponsible.

The staff seemed more friendly. It seemed like a debate about anything I wanted to accomplish and only IF it was possible. It seemed more appropriate that extensive testing be done first, I find that this may not be a good option with Covid going around despite the protections, but no one wants to hear that. Just throw me in a tester and put my life on the line, who cares? She does not come off as friendly as she has been and I don't know why, I won't ask, not my business. It is at this point I will look for someone else as I can and go on, and definitely not recommend her to anyone else.

I expect a lot from a physician. and Dr. Cantrell is one of the _very_ few for whom I can give a perfect score. She is excellent - and this comes from a highly critical patient! She is super smart, absolutely knows her stuff, and can explain it to you clearly. She will give you as much time as you need to ask questions and understand the answers. Cognition and brain-related symptoms can be caused by a myriad of things, so I appreciate how thorough she is in her testing. When it comes to your ability to think, you want to cover all the bases. The office staff can sink an otherwise great physician, but this staff is actually good. It can take a day to receive an answer, but it will be a good answer you can move forward with. They are professional, and that is quite rare these days.

NEVER AGAIN !!! Appointment was in May 2020, Dr. Cantrell examined me in close proximity WITHOUT a mask, while she requires every patient to wear one in order to enter the premises. She was very condescending and used unprofessional language (quote: follow me to the "candy cabinet") before handing me some pills. She prescribed 4 different medication, that I had no idea what all this was for, besides the side effects are counter productive with the symptoms I have (!!), then she wanted me to go on a Keto diet along with 12-14 hours of intermittent fasting which makes sense if you need to lose weight or have epilepsy - BUT I never had a seizure in my life and I am far from being overweight. She billed a stunning $ 460 for this EPIC FAILURE diagnosis. I have cancelled my follow up appointment and will not go back there. A one star rating is already too much!

Very thorough. I experienced seizures for several years before seeing Dr. Cantrell. Doctors called me crazy, eager for paramedics to come to my rescue, and even asked if I wanted an excuse to stay in bed. After Dr. Cantrell ran several tests she was able to identify a seizure disorder all of the other doctors missed. I am grateful that I found her.
