Every other physician (and there were many) was not able to detect and diagnose (otherwise misdiagnosed and wrongly treated) my medical needs. Dr Bernal explained and found every large and small factor. My entire difficult situation opened up as a result of her fine medical abilities. I am forever grateful for her.

Not sure what bad reviews are about
Telehealth
I have been seeing Dr. Bernal for approximately two years now. She is not a pill pusher & is always very helpful with information that you could be doing to improve your health. As someone already mentioned here she has an approach to help guide you to better health rather than pushing pills on you. You have to want change to make change. She does run late at times, but that’s because she is very thorough in what she is trying to educate you about. If you’re looking for a quick fix & don’t want to participate in change and are looking for pills this is not the doctor for you. She took it upon herself to monitor my vitamins, which I lack highly on & ways to help improve my absorption. My vitamin absorption has greatly improved and I actually tested for the first time in many years normal. Vitamins don’t seem vital but are! I truly believe that’s where my neuropathy came from esp. a lack of B12. She doesn’t judge or discredit your efforts but seriously holds them as valuable

Bad experience
Both times my appointment was rescheduled due to the doctor being 40 minutes behind. I missed work in two occasions for these appointments. Staff was not pleasant and need customer service training.

I was referred to Dr. Bernal by colleague Wellspan Neuroscience R. Doyka for further treatment. When I had consultation appt. she asked why I was there, and I explained my past treatments and was under her care before. She would ask question and then constantly interrupt in the middle of my reply. In the end of appt. she requested that I go back to my primary doctor for continued follow treatment w/ her dept. I have had various appts. / treatments @Wellspan and have found that doctors are on time constraints and not understanding / concerned about patients health issues.

Brilliant doctor that cares about her patients and treats the person holistically. It seems that people in this area are not forward thinking when it comes to his or her health. Perhaps they don’t understand the holistic approach. Idk, in my opinion, she is the best around. Thanks Dr. Bernal! Also, if the truth about your health or how you’re caring for your body makes you uncomfortable, do not go to her. When you are ready to make positive/permanent changes, she is the one to contact.

I had a good first visit with her. She is very thorough and discusses everything with you and also allows you to speak without interrupting you which has been a issue with other dr's who just want the shortest time possible with you. You get a educated and caring doctor who wants the best for you. And I also wanted a doctor who didn't just want to push pills on me and send me on my way. And found that in Dr. Bernal. Her staff was also very friendly and helpful as well. I'm very hopeful now :-)

Holistic doctor with a bad bedside manner. On more then one occasion she has made me very uncomfortable & the last time was very rude. This doctor is all about vitamins, physical therapy, stretches & shots. She also makes me feel like her GOAL is to point out everything you ARE NOT doing.

She has been very helpful as a physician. Has sent me for needed physical therapy and referral to another physician who was able to help. Has prescribed helpful medication without overdoing it and prescribed helpful equipment. She continues to be a wonderful doctor to me.

I am very unhappy with this doctor. She will ask questions and if I don't fully understand what she's asking, she has snapped at me. She makes me very uncomfortable. She does all kinds of measurements of the bones and body and then starts sending you to other doctors almost like she's playing a guessing game. I have wasted thousands of dollars on the specialists and tests that she has lead me to. One of the specialists even said he is not sure why I was referred to him for my problem.

Overall my experience with Dr. Bernal has been a negative one. While she acts pleasant and friendly she lacks integrity and fixates on trivial matters which do not relate to the condition for which I was referred to her for.
