Colonoscopy
I was referred to this practice due to the recent diagnosis of colitis. Dr Muk explained why a colonoscopy was required to get the full picture of the extent of my problem. I was reluctant, but agreed to the procedure. I'm very grateful that I had the procedure done. Dr Muk found a polyp and removed it. If I didn't have the colonoscopy done, who knows whether the polyp would grow, or became cancerous. I would recommend him!

Experienced and Knowledgeable
I had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Mukhopadhyay. He is an excellent doctor referred by my primary doctor. The surgical center he uses is great as well.

MEAN and spiteful
I am a senior citizen with colon problems. This doctor performed a colonoscopy in October and is witness to my condition. When i asked him to fill out FMLA so I don't have to worry about my losing my job, He treated me like I was trying to scam the system. He would not let me talk was very rude and confrontational. When I asked him why he was being so mean to me he told me to go somewhere else. Why would he care why I want the form filled out. Are doctors liable for signing off on fmla?? The final decision would be on my employer. All I wanted was the doctor to write what he KNEW about my condition! And I got thrown out of his office. Shame on you Mukho! Karma will come back and treat you likewise. Don't go to this quack. He could care less about you. Just wants quick money.

From my experience, it is difficult get ahold of the office and most often the calls are forwarded to an answering service (during hours of operation) and unfortunately they can't make appointments, follow up on tests, etc. There was an instance where I kept trying to call and was told by the answering service to try again in 10 minutes. I called back twice in a span of 45 minutes and was told again to try again in 10 minutes. After telling them I had done so they went ahead and forwarded me to a "back end" phone number and someone finally picked up. This seems very odd to me. This has made it difficult to even get the medication that was prescribed and it seemed that the staff is reluctant to follow up with the doctor for alternative prescriptions covered by the insurance.

I am new to the area and needed a gastroenterologist. I was referred to Dr. Mukahopadhyay. He is through, efficient but also very warm and reassuring. My procedure was completed, I had a follow up appointment and my results were discussed. I was very happy and would highly recommend him. Just a lovely man.

The day of my appointment, Dr. Mukhopadhyay didn't bother to look at my medical record, which, as a new patient, I was told to provide. He didn't even know why I was there in the first place. He asked me several questions about my medical history and current state, but interrupted me after nearly every question I attempted to answer. He was overall very dismissive and inattentive. After he was done with his assessment he took me to the front desk to fill out my request for blood work and then walked away. No goodbye, no follow-up, nothing.

While the office staff is not the friendliest, Dr. Mukhopadhyay is very kind. I asked a million questions and he answered all of them so I could understand. He even made a personal phone call so that I could get an appointment with a surgeon quicker. I would definitely go to him again if I needed to.

Colonoscopy went well, 45 min. Patient prep, 1 hour from start to going home. I've had this procedure done from early early 1980's with many providers. Dr. M was right up there with the best.
