Dr. Dean Whitman, DMD

Dr. Whitman was a great surgeon, his office staff is the worse I ever had dealt with. I’m a retired Sheriffs Deputy and if I made a statement that I would stand by it or I would be fired for false representation. I over paid for my tooth extracted, only because that’s what I was quoted by a lady named Dorothy. 10 days before my appointment, my insurance company notified me to ask me why I paid so much money, I said that is what she quoted me for my out of pocket expense. I called several times trying to get my money only for them not call me back. Every time I call they said you have to wait until you have your surgery in case they’re something else on the bill. Then I called back chasing my $221. They told me that I have to wait until Delta Dental pays the Bill. Delta Dental paid the bill and sent me an update and said that I overpaid by$221. Called this morning and I spoke to someone named Lisa she said we see where delta dental has paid me, you have to wait 30 days for a check.

Rushes patients out and does not do follow up visits so once you’re gone it’s out of sight out of mind when they collect their money. He literally hung up the phone on me as I was trying to figure out how to control pain for my husband who went to have wisdom teeth pulled and I was not being disrespectful at all as I am also a healthcare professional. Nurse Jill said I was “complaining” when my husband came out throbbing in pain and too numbed in the mouth to swallow to take meds by mouth. He’s not good at pain control at all.

I have been going to Dr. Dean Whitman for more than 2 years now for dental extractions. He’s very knowledgeable, professional, puts you at ease, patiently answers all of your questions in an easily understandable method. His staff is always polite and friendly. You’re always amazing, and awesome!!!! Thank you so much Dr. Whitman

The implant procedures done by this surgeon failed. I, my referring dentist and the surgeon who eventually fixed the problem were all told I would get call back. Never got one. The weeks waiting for this office to schedule my surgery made the situation dangerously worse. Many surgeons guarantee implants for life. I was willing to pay even if they offered that.

Very disappointed with Dr Whitman and his office staff. After bringing over my daughter for xrays and mold he didn't even have the professionalism to see us to understand what issues and struggles my daughter is going through, despite me insisting to the staff that we need to sit down and talk to him and if he can't address it then direct us to someone else, but his staff blew us off...this is after multiple weeks of waiting for an appointment and the follow through by the staff was poor.

Dr. Whitman & his staff are incredible! Very professional & a wonderful bedside manner. They took such good care of my daughter &us both feel so safe about what was happening when she had her 4 wisdom teeth out. I cannot sing their praises enough!

Very professional, caring, and experienced surgeon. He truly cares about his patients and values their time. He listens well and answers every question thoroughly. He is remarkably skilled at his craft.

Dr Dean Whitman is simply one of the Best Oral Surgens in central Florida ! Our family have use his services in the past ! Very calm and knowledgeable !

Doctor Whitman and his staff are superior in all aspects of my experience. I'm terrified of any dentist but he immediately put me at ease. I had two teeth removed and I have no memory of the entire experience. I asked for IV sedation and they were very gentle. I would and have recommended Doctor Whitman.

After a ct being done, I was told they could not talk to me about anticipated costs for the procedure to be done unless I came back (and paid) a second time.
