Dr. Donahue is amazing. He took the time to listen and respond to all of our questions and never made us feel rushed. He explains all treatment options very well and makes the best recommendation given your specific circumstance. He ultimately lets the patient decide which treatment option is best for them. I have had multiple surgeries done by him and they all gave me amazing relief. The rest of his team is also amazing and caring during the recovery process.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Donahue. If you have any problem other than TOS, my strong recommendation would be to go elsewhere. He ended up misdiagnosing and never following up with me. His office notes of my visit were also inaccurate reflecting a lack of attention to detail. He clearly didn't listen to me. He appears unable to make a diagnosis other than TOS or to think outside of the box.

Dr Donahue did my left and right side revision surgeries for TOS in 2015 and 2016 after first surgeries in Denver were botched. Dr Donahue has given me my life back. I was told by my first surgeon that I would never work again, and would always be in pain. I am thankful for Dr Donahue every single day. He's also one of the most compassionate doctors I've ever met.

Dr. Donahue has unfortunately had to performed a total of 8 surgeries on myself and my child due to Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. My son was originally a patient of another top TOS surgeon and had bilateral full decompression surgeries, however ultimately required bilateral revision surgeries by Dr. Donahue. He truly is the very best of the best! His staff from Julie, Kathy, Jessie, Dan & Patti in the OR are a wonderful team at Mass General. If you’re suffering from TOS and have the ability to see Dr. Donahue, you will be in the best capable hands for your continued recovery.

Dr. Donahue is an excellent surgeon. I had non-traditional Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and he was able to diagnose and treat me. I traveled to see him because the TOS specialists at Cleveland Clinic and Pittsburgh hospitals could not agree on a diagnosis. I have done nothing but improve since he did bilateral first rib resection, scalenectomy, and pec minor release surgeries...several months apart of course. He cares about his patients and has a great bedside manner.

I just wish his staff didn't get tired of dealing with the worker's comp paperwork. He told me to think about removing other first rib last August but still unable to get approval for some reason? Hope he has not given up yet!

Dr. Donahue operated on me in 2014 and made a surgical error that has left me in crippling severe pain. After imaging showed his error he denied it despite other surgeons and radiologists documenting the error. I am now permanently disabled and in severe pain. He is a terrible surgeon and has destroyed my life. After my surgery I met other patients in the hospital who he operated on and they are all doing worse. Do not be fooled by his good bedside manner or his promise you will get better.

I started seeing Dr. Donahue back in 2014 for severe pain in my left shoulder area. I was subsequently diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome and had a cervical rib resection with a scalenectomy. My recovery was long but the pain was relieved to a degree. In 2016 I had a follow-up surgery called a PMT (pectoralis minor tenotomony) to relieve additional pressure. Dr. Donahue is an amazing surgeon and has answered every question I have about my condition with caring and kindness.

The very best doctor I have ever dealt with. Incredibly professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and HIGHLY SKILLED. We put so much faith into Dr. Donahue to perform a delicate and complicated surgery on our 15 year old son. Dr. Donahue exceeded every expectation. Our son recovered quickly and is now 100% healed up and back to doing what he loves to do. Thank you!
