Dr. Dawn Heil, MD

I had a tremendous pleasure of meeting Dr. Heil in the summer of 2021. The original injury, Colles fracture of my right (predominate) hand, ruptured the extensor tendon, which left me without being able to use my right thumb. Since thumbs are responsible for about 50% of hand's mobility, my palm was as useful as a paddle. Meeting Dr. Heil was wonderful. She explained what happened, what's going to take place during the surgery, and how long the recovery might take. I loved her no-nonsense approach. I felt very confident in her skills. The recovery took a while; I was doing physical therapy for over four months, frequently meeting with Dr. Heil so that she could check on my progress. Fast forward three years and I am still extremely pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Being able to hold a spoon, use a pen, even use as sponge in the shower - the things we take for granted - is beyond words. I highly recommend Dr. Heil. She's incredible.

I absolutely appreciate and respect Dr. Heil in every way possible. She explained things in detail and she was straightforward with me. I 100% recommend her if you want it done the right way and you want to look and feel fabulous afterwards. Dr. Heil is so in tune to each individual’s body frame, what will be best for them and what she can do to make them look and feel better. I absolutely can’t wait for her to do my next procedure.

Horrible! She is exceptionally rude and just a miserable person. I wish I had never set foot in her office. I should have read her reviews beforehand. If the majority of her patients write her negative reviews, SHE is the problem...

I almost made the mistake of having her help with a lesion in my face. Thank goodness she said she couldn't feel it, after my PCP had noticed it, as I could! What a disaster it could have been! Especially after two of my friends had required a mastectomy and ended up with total asymmetric breasts that continued for long after the surgery. Being an RN, I was horrified! So very happy that I never had her do the surgery on my facial lesion a number of years ago. Just crazy that everyone else was able to notice it, except for her.

Dr Heil was very kind from consultation to surgery she always made me feel cared for. On the day of surgery she explained everything while she was marking me up. I was a 48ddd and now an 44c and could be a b cup. My back and she Yoder’s fee okay. Dr Dawn Heil Is a miracle worker..

I was getting lip fillers for the first time and was nervous and Dr. Heil made me feel SO comfortable during the procedure. Idk what she did with that needle but she works wonders. The pain was like 1/10. And my results look so natural, I had minimum swelling and little to no bruising. I am so happy with my results and experience. I will be back! :))

This woman ruined my breasts and my life. I had to eventually go to another surgeon to be corrected. He said it was a terrible job she did. I was left with my left breast 2 cup sizes larger than my right after having a simple breast reduction back in 2015. When I went to my follow up appt and expressed my concerns, she had no compassion and simply said well your insurance is not going to pay for you to go back in the hospital, if I decide to do anything it will be in the office under local anesthesia. I was morified. I was left living with her mistake for another two years before having a revision done to correct. The emotional trauma has been very hard to deal with. Research your doctors before just going to anyone, I wish I would have.

She Told me the filler would look fake in my lips. Then when she did the injection into my forehead I was left with a drooping left eyelid for months. She made no effort to correct. Prescribed eyedrops that did nothing. Poor technique.

Dr. Heil did carpal tunnel surgery on both of my wrists. The procedure went smoothly and she was wonderful! I would definitely recommend her.

Was given high expectations. Worst results I could have imagined. Told just happens sometimes. No compassion. Horrible surgeon!!

Dr. Heil did a beautiful job correcting a botched mile removal done by a dr in Syracuse. I plan on returning to Dr. Heil for other procedures. Highly recommend.
