Rushed and Poor Bedside Manner
I require an annual Ophthalmology visit due the side effects from my IBD medication. Dr. Yoo rushes through appointments, is dismissive, and is looking to 'get in' and 'get out'. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Excellent
I first saw Dr. Yoo in 2018 for an uncommon eye condition that had been diagnosed as dry eye syndrome by 4 different doctors over the course of several months. I was in great distress and Dr. Yoo diagnosed me with blepharospasms within the first 1/2 hr. I was, and am still beyond grateful. Dr. Yoo is a wonderful person. He allows you as much time as you need, and thoughtfully answers questions. He has a kind, comfortable demeanor. I see him every 3 months and I have great confidence in his assessment and treatment.

My experience with Dr Yoo was at both the Loyola Medical Center (twice) and once at the Loyola Medical Center in Burr Ridge. I am very disappointed. When Iast saw Dr Yoo on 5/30/2019, he had no record of my being in the office in Maywood on 5/22/2019 or why I was back on 5/30/2019 for a possible procedure. On 5/22/2019, I was seen by a 4 year resident and Dr. Yoo and discussed possible surgery to unclog a clogged oil gland in my lid on 5/30/2019. I was appalled that there was no written documentation of my 5/22/2019 visit. At any rate, I was told since I was better, I should schedule to return in three weeks. The condition did not improve and I saw an Ophthalmologist not associated with Loyola who provided me with suggestions to deal with my condition. I left a voice message weeks ago for the head of Ophthalmology to advise of my experience and although I received a call from his gate keeper asking for details, I have never received a call back.
