Excellent Physician
Dr Widman Is a very intelligent physician; & an Excellent diagnostician. More importantly, he is a kind, thoughtful human being who listens attentively, thinks out side of the box & has the ability to connect to his patients in a face to face health related dialogue. In a world where many physicians feel rushed & pressured to perform as many money making procedures as possible, this type of patient to physician relationship is rarely practiced. Dr. Widman is a breath of fresh air, he demonstrates a calm, confident & professional approach to his patients. When you are not well, concerned about the reality of facing a life altering diagnosis, Dr Widman offers common sense, diagnostic & treatment options. You leave his office feeling as though you are not walking the scary road of ill health alone, you have him in your corner & he knows the best way to approach the situation. This is the way medicine in general should endeavor to be practiced. Dr Widman’s staff are also awesome!

Hard to get a return phone call
After 4 weeks of leaving messages regarding injection denial and no response, it is quite apparent the doctor nor his staff has any interest in providing good follow up. The staff is too busy or uninterested in returning a phone call after 8 or 9 messages over 4 weeks. I suffer with worsening and more frequent pain and have come to see this office as a liability in my healthcare. I have found a new rheumatologist who is easier to reach via email and actually returns a phone call.

Dr. Widman is brilliant and caring. When I first went to see him a year ago I was in such pain from rheumatoid arthritis that I could hardly function from day to day. The quality of my life was lacking and I was depressed. Now I am functioning almost as well as I did prior to developing RA. Dr. Widman alleviated my pain, stopped the progression of the disease, and gave me hope that I'll have a happy future. He's uplifting, and his smile and compassion brighten the day. He's the best!

Dr Widman is a competent doctor, however, since his merge with Atlantic Health, his office has been unable to provide even basic services without trouble. Messages are not returned, requests for prescriptions can take more than 1 week.

Dr. Widman is a brilliant and very thorough doctor. He takes time to explain things without being an alarmist, and he has a very kind and upbeat manner. He is funny and made me feel calm, as I tend to be an anxious patient. Highly recommend!!

I have psoriasis and have been having joint pain for the past 3-6 months. I went to Dr. Widman to see if I am developing psoriatic arthritis and he apparently didn't understand my reason for the visit. Instead of asking about my joint pain he interrogated me regarding my Xanax prescription and anxiety issues in a condescending manner. When I asked if we could discuss my joint pain because that was the reason for my visit he answered well it seems you have anxiety and should see another doctor.
