Scary
The doctor was incredibly rude, came in to the office, shut the door behind him and was accompanied by another man, me being a female I was very uncomfortable with that. He then talked down to me and was extremely condescending. He did not address any concerns I had and met any concern with sarcasm and crass remarks. I do not understand how someone like that remains in business when people literally are putting their life in his hands.

I am a nurse who used to work with him
Worked with him at UPMC Lititz. He is mentally unhinged- screams at nurses for the smallest of inconvenience. Would not let him touch my family members.

Very rude! Not a surgeon I would recommend. He needs sensitivity training and training on how to deliver messages to a child. Its not always the message being delivered that is the issue it is how it is delivered and he has no skill to be tactful. He was more worried about continuing to say the same thing vs dealing with the opened wound we were sent there for. He gave us no useful information and did not address the problem.

By far the most horrible experience I’ve ever had at a doctors office. Staff was fine but this doctor acted like a total bully. Screaming at me and totally confusing me through entire appointment. Horrible

Dr. Vaughn performed an above-the-knee amputation of my right leg on March 19, 2014. He demonstrated compassion during follow-up visits. I had a challenging, long-festering condition that required immediate surgery. I would strongly recommend him.

This doctor was, by far, one of the most rude surgeons I have ever encountered and not at all knowledgeable about my condition. He most definitely has the renowned surgeon's, God complex, and refused to listen to me as his patient. I would NOT recommend this surgeon if he was the only one in Lancaster, PA (which, of course, he is not). My point is, drive any distance necessary to avoid this surgeon at all costs.
