Dr. David Smolev, MD

This doctor had to flee Colorado Springs due to the bad reviews by all of his patients and the utter ignorance of actual medical practices. Be careful and read his earlier reviews.

I rarely visit the doctor, and each time I saw Dr. Smolev he seemed dismissive. I had trouble sleeping, migraines, and he prescribed me OTC allergy medicine and melatonin without any testing. I have since been treated by another doctor, who found the underlying cause with more success. I also once had kidney stones while traveling. An MD diagnosed me in Jamaica. Dr. Smolev didn't seem to trust in that diagnosis. He couldn't get me in nor would give a referral to urology and I ended up in the ER.

New doctor for me since I qualified for Medicare through Humana. I am blessed to be a very healthy person and don't need a doctor often at all. I have only been seen twice in the last year and I have to say that I am very satisfied with Dr. Smolev! He listens well, takes his time and is very intelligent, understanding and caring. Dr. Smolev is an excellent primary care doc. He takes the time to listen and provide a thorough explanation of the health concern at hand. He offers the treatment recommendation clearly and answers any questions. For me, he helped me taper off a couple of drugs I no longer needed. One was a sleeping pill.
