I had a visit with Dr. Slater for a well visit to establish care, but also had multiple topics of concern I wanted to address. Dr. Slater was knowledgeable and by far the most engaging doctor I’ve ever interacted with. He thoroughly addressed all questions I had, providing both evidence and anecdotes. Our visit lasted longer than I expected, because he took the time to discuss every concern in-depth and I never felt like he was rushing through our appointment. I would recommend Dr. Slater to anyone and everyone.

Poor bedside manners. Spent barely 10 mins, answered multiple text messages in those 10 minutes, the physical was awful and he rushed out without even finding if all concerns were addressed. He is probably smart, but simply poor bedside manners. His residency program must be punished! Pluses are that the office is neat, getting appointments is not a hassle, his NP is very competent.

I went to this doctor because I was having difficulty swallowing and had lost 45 pounds. He insisted on treating me for high blood pressure and cholesterol. In our third visit, he finally agreed I should have a CT scan. Two days later, during a colonoscopy procedure, I was rushed into Emergency surgery for a tumor on my esophagus and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This led to months of hospital visits, chemo and radiation therapy, E-coli and pneumonia. It goes on, but I would not recommend this Dr.

I went for a physical/ check-up. I asked about something on my foot that was bothering me for a while and wasn't going away. He looked at me after I described it and said so what do you want me to do about it? Also, I asked about not sleeping well and being tired often. He responded with nothing helpful. He only showed concern for my cholesterol and vitamin deficiency; prescription related.

Dr. David Slater is by far one of the best physicians anyone within Irving can goto and has a great personality, down to earth and great humor (when needed). I've seen Dr. Slater in the past and can solidly confirm him to be the best physician. Having traveled / living outside the U.S., when returning, it was great knowing Dr. Slater is with Tiena Health. Highly recommend him.

Although I sometimes experience long wait times, I find Dr. Slater to be an exceptionally knowledgeable physician. I feel he addresses my concerns and I feel confident in his treatment plans. I am exceptionally happy with the patient follow-up of Leticia, his MA. Regarding Rx refills: would prefer not to come in monthly. Every second or third month seem sufficient after being a patient for 12 years. This is a minor inconvenience in my overall positive experience w/Dr. Slater.

The office was clean and the staff at the front desks were very pleasant to work with. When Dr. Slater was in the office and I started talking to him he told me to wait and he continued to text on his phone for about 5 minutes. The doctor made it very clear that he was not interested in my needs. This is by far the worst experience that I have had with a Doctor. I do not recommend anyone see this Dr. I do not know how he still has a job at that office, if they are a customer first organization.

I am not sure why he has low ratings. Dr. Slater is practical, straight forward and honest about his evaluations. I think he is friendly. He's a little dry on sense of humor and being chipper but I don't need a BIG smile and someone touching my arm while saying there there there to me. I think he is very professional and I would definitely recommend him to others.
