I retired to Orcas 5 years ago, and my background as an academic physician makes me picky in choosing a health care provider for me and my wife. Dr Shinstrom is very well trained and responsive, waiting times are short, and his comprehensive primary care facilities include an X-ray machine. In my opinion, Dave is the ideal family medicine choice on our small island--smart, experienced, excellent judgment, and a terrific source of information about referrals to specialists on the mainland.
