From His Kettering Days, Miamisburg OH
I had the sleeve procedure done by Dr Schumacher in 2016 or 17. I absolutely LOVE him. I would and have recommended him to many. He was patient, kind and always answered my questions. Yes, he could be a little arrogant at times. However, I realized, his arrogance was actually confidence in what he was saying. I also have all good things to say about Jared, Dr. Dreamy as I called him in the hospital once I was out of surgery. LOL. He is funny, and a good listener. I also would recommend him. As for the front office staff, they were slow, rude and just gave me an overall impression of incompetents. After Dr S left, I went in for a few office follow-up visits, but only until Covid 19 hit and the doors were closed. I have not had a follow up since. My weight is at a good level, I feel great and I thank the good Lord and Dr S for getting me through.

Had my sleeve on September 11, 2018. I have had zero problems. I feel so much better about myself. My health has improved. I was given a much better quality of life. I couldn't be more grateful. I'm a little confused as to whether he is or is not still at the Miamisburg office or in bariatrics. I can't seem to find any answers on that, or who I am suppose to see now. I know I got a letter a while back about the office moving, but I lost it. That's on me. So I am not sure where to go for my upcoming appt. I'm sure I'll figure it out. However, we do deserve straight answers. We trust these surgeons with our lives, and they stress follow up care is of most importance. So, who will now do my follow up care if he's gone? Feeling a little abandoned. I do see Jarod most of the time, I think I've seen Dr. Schumacher twice since surgery. Jarod is awesome! I am still giving this office all stars because I do feel I was very much taken care of and at this time have had zero issues post surgery.

Had sleve done in 2014. Hematoma within a week of going home. Leak within 2 weeks. Forgot to take my Bard recalled IVC filter out. Spent time in Lifecare where most of his patients end up going. Throwing up almost daily for 3 years. And those 2 he had running around with him. Kettering should have gotten rid of him long time ago.

Idk who said he was the best on 5/2/19 - but uhhh... you aware that he is no longer at the practice and they have no info to give as far as to where he went. I have been his patient for almost 6 years - and when i wanted the band and he somehow managed to talk me into a much more permanent RNY - and now he's gone without an explanation - I can't even begin to tell anyone how utterly betrayed and ANGRY I feel towards this man!!!!! I am having SEVERE problems that he was WELL AWARE of - and just *POOF* he's gone. and where'd he go?? if you dont' some letter in the mail about some BS that he went to cincinnati and will have a northern location 'available soon,' allow me to clarify that straight from the mouth of those who didn't betray me - that info is NOT accurate; they have NO info about sh*t as of right now. i wanna know what that man did to me. those talking bad about the others in the office - clearly, you haven't spent as much time in that office as i have to really, really know..

The doctor is great. The OFFICE STAFF NEEDS TO BE REPLACED with a more competent group of people. They do not give patients full information, send orders timely and I overheard them talking about patients (by name) at their front desk. UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL!
