Did NOT biopsy carcinoma when I was in office
In 2019 I was referred to Dr. David B Schulman (South Charlotte Dermatology) by another physician because of a very suspicious facial mole. He did not even biopsy it, but told me cancer didn't bleed so that wouldn't be what it was. February 2022 I was referred by a different doctor to a different dermatologist in a different city - it was biopsied (immediate decision, and made me wonder why it was not biopsied in 2019) and immediately the result came back that it was carcinoma which resulted in Mohs Micrographic Surgery by a specialist. I find it inexcusable that it was not biopsied by Dr. Schulman - a very suspect mold - THAT'S WHY I WAS THERE!! Instead, I dealt with this problem for almost 3 years. Choose another Dermatologist (I have photos from both years)

Dr. Schulman is very compassionate and also extremely knowledgeable. The treatment plan he prescribed for my elderly father to address an ongoing sore on his foot, that had been lingering and getting worse for months, brought about significant healing within days. Though we had gone to my Dad's primary care doctor for help with this and also had home health care assess it, they were both unable to offer anything that helped. Because of Dr. Schulman's knowledge, experience and ability to correctly identify the cause and come up with a solution, my father's foot is already almost completely healed. Dr. Schulman is truly the best combination possible in a physician. He has compassion along with knowledge and experience which together are able to bring about true healing and solve issues that may have perplexed lesser doctors.

I have used Dr. Schulman for the past few years after being referred to him by my primary care physician. Dr. Schulman diagnosed my skin cancer which was very close to my eye and required surgery by a specialist. I trusted his diagnosis and he has been very supportive in my recovery. This was very helpful since the surgery was not done well by the ocular plastics surgeon and left my face scarred. I like that his practice is diagnostic dermatology and that he does not deal with the cosmetics as many dermatologists do today. He is busy however when he is working with you he does not make you feel rushed and he takes time to answer your questions thoroughly. The Covid pandemic has caused many issues for all physicians however I did visit Dr. Schulman during the pandemic and still received the level I care I have come to expect. Based on my experiences, I highly recommend Dr. Schulman.

If you need a dermatologist for a problem requiring immediate attention avoid Dr. David Schulman. I’ve been his patient for the past six years and called his office today to request an appointment ASAP as I am experiencing serious pain with a cyst that needs treatment. I was told by his staff Dr. Schulman is only working three days per week and it will be a month to get an appointment. I explained I cannot wait that long and was instructed his practice is a “one man show” and if I need a doctor to find someone else. I asked he refer another doctor who has a larger practice but was told to do a Google search as he doesn’t have time to provide this information. Dr. Schulman must refer to the binding covenant that he promised to uphold during his medical training: the Hippocratic Oath, requiring he always act in patients’ interests.

Had a case of SJS--potentially very dangerous. Called with no appointment and team recognized urgency and said "come right now we will fit you in". Big fan of this team!

I arrived on time for a 1:00pm appointment and was not informed of any issues regarding time. At 2:00pm, I asked the receptionist if I would be seen anytime soon, at which point I was told that I was next, but was not ledgement of my already hour-long wait. got re-dressed, left the treatment room and asked for my money back - which was done with still zero acknowledgement of the unacceptable (over 1 hour 30 minutes) wait time or apology.

Would absolutely not recommend this dermatologist. Sat in the waiting room and patient room for over one hour only to find out he was not capable of doing a small procedure. All he wants to do is continue your visit there or refer you to some other position and take your money

I have been to multiple dermatologists throughout my life for the treatment of various warts, and this dermatologist uses the most ineffective freezing procedure I have ever been treated with to remove a wart. I have already paid out of pocket twice since I am under my deductible, and neither time did the wart area blister after the treatment. They now want to charge me another $100 and come in for a third treatment. Other dermatologists use a spray canister which is more effective and colder in

Since my first visit a few years ago, I have encouraged family and friends to visit Dr. Schulman. My appreciation for the genius of this gentleman knows no bounds. He has handled every problem I have had...in one visit, and has offered highly professional and efficient advise/counsel which has eventuated in one happy patient (me). I genuinely like this man and his manner. You are quickly relaxed and comfortable with him within a few seconds of meeting him. A professional I appreciate...

Incredibly caring and thoughtful doctor. As someone with a melanoma history, I have always found Dr. Schulman to be patient and attentive. I also appreciate that he, unlike previous dermatologist, is not "cut happy". It is refreshing to find a doctor that values the patient care over the highest billing possibility.
