Will miss this great doctor!
I've been with Dr. Schechter for almost 10 years now, and I'm sad that I have to find a new doctor (moved to a new state). His staff has always been kind and on top of things. If you're looking for a doctor to coddle you, that's not Dr. Schechter. However, if you want quality care from someone who stays on top of the latest medical information, pushes you to take better care of yourself, and hears and addresses your concerns, this is your guy. He was incredibly communicative through the pandemic, a time when everyone was desperate for up-to-date information. He is well connected and offered quality referrals when needed. I appreciated that he supported mental health in addition to standard everyday medicine.

Exceptional Care and Compassion
As a patient of Dr. David Shechter for over two years, I can confidently say that he consistently provides outstanding care, compassion, and professionalism. Dr. Shechter's medical expertise is evident in the improvement I have experienced, and his warm and empathetic demeanor has always made me feel comfortable and at ease. Throughout my time with Dr. Shechter, he has maintained open communication and ensured that I was well-informed about my treatment. His attention to detail and genuine interest in my well-being have made a significant impact on my health. In addition to Dr. Shechter's medical prowess, his support staff is equally impressive. The receptionists, nurses, and assistants were all kind, attentive, and accommodating, contributing to an overall positive experience at the clinic.

The very best primary care physician I've ever had. Dr. Schechter takes the time to listen to my symptoms and concerns, takes into account my detailed medical history and leverages his experience in sports medicine to address my concerns and form a treatment plan with me. As a professional climber, I come to him with very unique injuries and illnesses acquired abroad. As a scientist, I often have my own ideas about what I believe is causing my symptoms. He's always been amenable to these discussions and is a hands on doctor who takes your blood himself, takes into account your lifestyle and associated needs in formulating treatment plans, and often performs imaging in-office, demonstrating his commitment to excellent compassionate care. His office uses an online portal to communicate results, making accessing your records and test results easy and convenient. I highly recommend him for sports medicine as well as primary care.

Very caring and intelligent doctor. He has been our GP for 15 year. Great diagnostic skills. 10 years ago I was blindsided skiing in Tahoe. Local hospital said I had a sore back. Still felt terrible 2 days later back home. After 10 minutes he correctly diagnosed me as having 2 broken ribs with punctured/collapsed lung!

Amazing doctor. I had my first appointment a few months ago and I am so happy to have found Dr. Schecter. He took his time and showed a genuine interest and care in my well being. He took labs and followed up via email with results as promised. I feel that I am in great hands with Dr. Schecter. To top things off, he has been amazing in emailing throughout the corona pandemic in regards to what we should know and how we should best take care of ourselves. Thank you so much for this Dr.Schecter.

I find Dr Schechter to be very thorough and helpful. Some years ago he assisted me on my path me to get rid of my debilitating Chronic Pain. I am a healthy individual thank you to Dr Schechter and his team! What impressed me recently (April 2020 - COVID19 crisis) is his weekly email to all of his patients to encourage us, keep us calm and informed with relevant information. Thank you, you are a light in this "dark era". Stay safe.

Dr. Schechter saved my life. Even though my PSA level was still normal, he caught the trend and referred me to a urologist so we could catch the cancer before it spread. He always takes the time to listen and treat the whole person. Vanessa and the rest of the staff provide service at the same high standard. I heartily recommend Dr. Schechter.

I am very grateful to have Dr. Schechter as my primary care doctor. I first started seeing him several years ago for a painful back injury that went undiagnosed for 3 months. He patiently guided me through a course of options, so when I ended up getting surgery, I felt confident I had exhausted all other options. He supported me through my recovery and continues to be my primary care physician. He is approachable, attentive and knowledgeable. I regularly refer my friends and family to him.

I visited the doctor four times due to foot/ankle pain from a running injury, and the doctor did not help me at all. By the time I went in for the 4th appointment, still without any improvement or diagnosis, the doctor threw his arms in the air and asked me, Are you SURE you're experiencing pain? And then told me to buy a book he wrote called Think Away the Pain. It was one of the most insulting moments of my life. I am now seeing a new doctor who diagnosed me with nerve and tendon damage.

Dr. Schechter is an outstanding physician. As a patient of Dr. Schechter's for several years now, I feel like I have a true partner interested in my own personal health and wellness. Although I am generally in good health, when issues or injuries do arise, I find Dr. Schechter, and his office staff, to be both responsive and genuinely caring. Highly recommended.

Dr. Schechter spent plenty of time in my initial visit to get a solid history of my somewhat complex medical condition. He listens very attentively when the patient (me) speaks. He has the best and most descriptive voicemail greeting (typically reached in after hours) I have ever heard from a medical professional. He also has an excellent private e-mail communication system set up. I can also access the important medical records from this site as well.

Dr. Schechter has been my primary doctor for 4 or 5 years now. He has an amazingly positive energy, and is always looking to explore all options. He also really listens, which is a nice change from what I was used to with past primary care docs. I like that his front office is run so efficiently. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing smart, and efficient medical service.
