Arthroscopic right shoulder rotator cuff surgery
Dr. Rust listened carefully to my symptoms of pain and loss of strength in my shoulder, and quickly ordered an MRI scan. He explained the images and the procedures he recommended thoroughly and without rushing. The surgery in late March 2023 went smoothly, and his team provided sufficient pain medicine for the immediate post-op period, so I was quite comfortable.His team also provided a set of do's & don'ts as well as sets of graded exercises to start the day following surgery. Those, together with subsequent professional physical therapy, lead to a a textbook recovery about 5-6 months post op. I was back in the pool (kicking only) at 5 months, and swimming all 4 strokes (including the butterfly) by the end of the 7-th. Now I am once again an aspiring cetacean in training thanks to Dr. Rust and his team. I am very fortunate to have experienced their care.
