Uncaring
This “doctor”couldn’t be bothered to call me back after I was hospitalized and was faced with choices from an ER surgeon. What a joke. Zero is not an option- but is quite fitting.

Had the office staff been a bit more civil, this would have been a 5-star rating. Dr. Purow, himself, is calm, engaged and knowledgable, spending as much time as is needed give recommendations and answer any questions. The aide who brought me back to the exam room was warm and engaged; the outside staff was about as sour a group of gatekeepers as any I've ever encountered. This group either needs to be fired or given a course on human interaction and people skills.

I have been a patient of Dr Purow’s now for 5 years! I went to him for a consultation because I was having a lot of bowel issues and was bleeding quite a bit. I was 25 I wanted him to give me a colonoscopy I know don’t give out until age 50 but I’m suffering & nobody bleeds this bad for their not to be something seriously wrong he listened to me and I got my very first colonoscopy done. I got the result and a 5cm mass was seen right in my rectum which came back malignant stageIII!Today I am NED

Saw Dr. Purow while I was at Huntington Hospital. He was not my regular Gastro Doctor (though he is now) He explains things slowly and made sure I had no questions. He followed up and was completely engaged in my treatment plan. I cant thanks him enough for his time and involvement in my case.

Dr. Purow is a great doctor. He takes the time to talk to the patient, he is honest and transparent with them while also being empathetic. He is thorough and my experience with him has been outstanding. Within a few minutes with him he was able to narrow down the issue and confirmed it with the appropriate testing. I highly recommend Dr. Purow.
