Dr. Pougatch performed surgery on both of my big toes. First he cut down a toenail,probed the nail bed and gently scraped a sample from it. He then scheduled surgery as this procedure was insufficient to allow a diagnosis. The procedure was delicate and he performed it admirably and with precision. He answered all of my questions, and has an excellent bedside manner. He is one of the best doctors I have dealt with in my 68 years.

Dr. Pougatsch operated on my foot ulcer at CSMC on July 22, 2016. After 5 weeks of rehab he declared it was healed and i could walk on it. Within 48 hours, the incision opened up exposing the ulcer on the sole of my foot; it had simply been covered up. Alone in my apartment and unable to walk at age 81, we called him 8 times over 6 days for help. He never responded. i was forced to find another doctor and start over. i would never recommend him.
