As a cataract surgeon myself who lives in South Florida, when time came to selecting a surgeon for my 72 year old father Dmitry, the choice was very easy. Having trained at the premier New York Eye and Ear Infirmary 2002-2008 and then practicing in Brooklyn and Manhattan 2008-2014, I had an insider knowledge of the most talented and experienced cataract surgeons in NY Metro region. I had observed Dr. David Pinhas in the OR for a year while a resident and fellow at the Infirmary and was truly impressed by his breadth of expertise and humane and decent approach to his patients. The choice was very simple. My father now has 20/20 vision at both far and near and in between. He is thrilled. I am thrilled. You will be thrilled too.

I have an aversion to anyone or anything coming near my eyes. Dr Pinhas knows just how to handle the situation so that I no longer have to feel a visit to the ophthalmologist is a visit to a torture chamber. If this site would allow me to award 10 stars I would. He is just the best!

Very Disrespectful and Greedy Doctor
I went to see Dr. Pinhas because he was recommended for cataract surgery. When I arrived to schedule a surgery for my cataracts and voiced my financial concerns about not being able to afford a more expensive lens option(that doctor was pushing on me), Dr. Pinhas refused to operate on me, saying that perhaps I should just use glasses, if I can not afford a $5,000+ lens. During the visit, he said he has enough patients that he can pick and choose who he wants to operate on and who can afford more expensive options. He also said that I should save my $$ if I want to have a surgery done by him and come see him when I have enough $$ saved. As a senior, with a limited income, being treated in such a disrespectful manner is absolutely outrageous. For a doctor to say that he cares more about his bottom line and NOT his patient is disgraceful. I only hope that new patients will think twice before allowing Dr. Pinhas push something on them they can't afford and be humiliated after.

Excellent & caring! Dr. Pinhas diagnosed a pre glaucoma condition in my eyes about 15 years ago. He keeps a close watch on it and has performed cataract surgery on me. My vision now is excellent and it’s because of all the close care and expertise of this doctor!

I used to live in Brooklyn. I was diagnosed with high ocular pressure . I went to see Dr. Pinhas and was very happy. He was kind and very professional. While other physicians were not able to help me, he did a procedure and my pressure came down. I would recommend him to anyone

I was diagnosed by Dr. Pinhas with glaucoma in 1096. Then lived in other state. 12 years ago my eye pressure was 50 and more. Most oftalmologists didn’t give me any guarantee that I will be able to see in a few years, even after surgery. Than I came again to Dr Pinhas. & after his surgery in 2005 my vision still good!

I got cataract removal surgery on 03/28/17 that has been performed by Dr David Pinhas. Something did not go so well, I had to visit a doctor for eye drops change, need to have a another procedure on 05/16, 2017, which is understandable, but the eye still hurts, irritated, I keep calling the office several times, no response from the stuff, front desk secretaries absolutely unprofessional, irresponsible, it is so frustrating, and in the end of the day I need to visit another doctor

I was a patient of Dr. Pinhas for over 15 years, due to my schedule I could not attend his office as often, when I called the office on 10/31/2016 with an emergency front desk was extremely rude, nasty and very disdainful, I told them that I have emergency and I really need to see the Dr. they told me that because I have not seen Dr. for more than a couple of years they can not accept me and I have to register and make an appointment as a new patient, so I insisted that they ask a Dr. to see

Despite many calls I made having a few conversations with office staff by the name of Veronica and other, faxing authorization form and confirming such on the phone, scheduling an appointment, when I have arrived in time on the date of scheduled appointment I was not allowed to see a doctor. I was told that my insurance is not accepted. I was turned down without saying sorry and admitting their mistake.
