Phenomenal Doctor
Dr. Osterhus performed my septoplasty and turbinate reduction. From the first appointment, he has been exceptionally kind, courteous, and a joy to work with! He's the most professional doctor I've ever worked with. He's straightforward and ready to address any concerns you may have with a smile. His dedication to care, both pre-and-post op has left an indelible impression on me. He's also the only doctor that's shaken my hand every visit. 10 out of 10, i highly recommend.

Great ENT
Dr. Osterhus did my septoplasty. I had heard from everyone how miserable they were so I wasn’t looking very forward to it. I will have to say though I had a little to no bruising post surgery and very little pain. I think he did an excellent job and I could not be more happy with the results, I would recommend him to anyone!

Condescending & Unpleasant
Returned here because I was treated so well three years ago. I had made a point of saying so, at the time. Astonishing difference today. My appointment with Dr. Osterhus, involved a lot of eye-flutter/shoulder-shrugging dismissal. Mid point in this appointment, while left alone for a bit, I got up and left the exam room with the intention of leaving the building. I reconsidered and only stayed reluctantly. It was a mistake. Overall, an unpleasant experience. Sorry I wasted the gas and time.

Disrespectful/ Not Thorough
I brought up concerns and he laughed, and the concerns were not at all unreasonable. Instead, I did a test which was inconclusive and told me I had probable x, and he did no further testing whatsoever to rule anything else out. On top of that there's a long, long wait until the next visit with all the wonderful things on my mind. I look forward when I'm out of his care. It was atrocious.

The most uncaring, rudest, unprofessional doctor I have ever met. He does not explain procedures very well, and gets extremely upset if you ask questions.

Payments are Difficult and Costly (4% Added Fee!)
This review is not about our visits or interactions with Dr. Osterhus but rather about his office's cumbersome payment process. With our insurance, only HSA credit cards are supplied. Unless cash or check is used as form of payment, Dr. Osterhus' office assesses a 4% fee. I refuse to pay an extra 4% especially when our annual visits total in the thousands. I realize that this is a cost of doing business for his practice but this should be built into their fees like all other costs. Additionally, that is poor procurement on their end if the credit card fees are actually high. This lack of negotiating effort should not be passed on to customers. As a result, we will be transferring to another doctor that is easier to do business with.

I drove 1 hour each way to see him and he did not even look in my ear my nose or my throat. As I was standing at the checkout I wanted to go back over and say are you not even going to look in my throat. I decided at that point it was not worth it. A waste of my time. I will not recommend for sure

We saw Dr. Osterhus with my toddler. He was very rude and disrespectful. I thought maybe I got him on a bad day but another patient with my pediatrician's office had the same experience a few days later. I would not recommend him for any care and will not be allowing him to offer any care to my children.

He is rude and will not take the time to listen to you. He has no bed-side manners and no tolerance for a child who struggled with a swabbing. Our son had already been tested 3 times and it was neg. all 3 times. We tried to tell him but he didn't listen. When our son struggled and gagged on the swab he told his nurse "just put him on antibiotics." More antibiotics, really. No wonder we have resistant strains of strep. We will never go back to this guy again!

I had severe adhesions and nose bleeds from trauma to my nose. Dr. Osterhus did an excellent job repairing and basically reconstructed the inside of my nose. He improved my life so much and am forever grateful and highly recommend him.

Dr. Osterhus is a wonderful, extremely knowledgeable physician. He removed a cyst that took up half of my thyroid. Since we lived in Knoxville he was very understanding, working with us, letting us get my lab work locally and having the results sent to his office so we didnt have to drive 2 hours just for blood work. After looking at all of the tests, he had surgery scheduled within the month. He did a great job, made sure the cyst was benign and followed up with us after. Highly recommend him.
