Middle of the night emergency surgery so surgeon luck of the straw. Newcomer all bad luck. Cannot even put 'dr.' before name as it would indicate healer. The man is odd as he is inept. Verbally abusive to point his comments made it into my chart and final summery by witnessing nurses. Vindictive with decisions and put my life in further peril. Regional hospital did nothing to intervene and 3 times failed to have their representative show at scheduled meeting to have newcomer replaced.

I met Dr. Newcomer in the LGH ER when I found I needed emergency surgery. He quickly diagnosed my problem and discovered a completely unrelated condition that also needed to be treated. If he hadn't taken all of my issues seriously I would have ended up back in the ER. His years of experience make all the difference. His bedside manner is excellent. He explains everything in a thorough and caring manner.

I was concerned about using Dr. Newcomer after reading some low reviews online. However, another surgery group couldn't even see me for a month, and I needed surgery sooner. Dr. Newcomer saw me the day after I called, and did the surgery two days after that. He was extremely kind and explained everything in a way that made me feel very comfortable; he had also done almost 4,000 of the surgery I needed, with an excellent track record. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
