Dr. David Mishkel, MD

He almost got me killed. I was assigned to him at Boca Regional Hospital and I had a serious infection that affected my heart. He did not even look at my labs or Echo I had earlier and dismissed my condition. Luckily another doctor found the infection and treated it, but I was near death and he delayed them finding the infection! If I could I would give a 0 rating. He is lucky I don’t sue him!

This was my first visit to a cardiologist. I have a heart murmur that no one has examined prior to this. What struck me was Dr Mishkel’s caring, professionalism, and thorough investigation of my current vital signs as well as test results from many years back. As he explained, his job is to dig deep into my history to find clues to the present. Overall it was a super medical experience.

My wife and I have been going to Dr Mishkell for 25 years and he is the best. I like that he is pro-active and he cares about his patients.

On first visit, office staff was fantastic. Extremely friendly helpful. Dr. M was great. spent time discussing issues and was very polite and professional.

The staff at this practice are extremely rude and unhelpful. Very frustrating trying to speak to anyone in his office. Voicemail indicates the office is on lunch when the time clearly is well over lunch time hours. Staff speaks in condescending manner. I will be searching for a new cardiologist because of this, not because I dislike Dr. Mishkel.

Dr. Mishkel has been my cardiologist for about three years. He found that my aortic valve was not working properly. He recommended a great surgeon and he has been overseeing my post operative and routine care. Very through and kind. I recommend him to any one who is in need of a good cardiologist.

Excellent doctor! Highly recommend. One of the calmest, professional and knowledgeable doctors I have ever met. After relocating from Princeton New Jersey to Boca Raton. I did some research on Cardiologist Doctors in Boca Raton. When we first met Dr.David Mishkel MD, my wife, Adele, was in a wheelchair. The very first thing he did was to obtain her previous medical records to get a first-hand look at her prior treatment. He then went on to change a lot of the medications that she was on. After 3 years of being a patient of Dr.David Mishkel, Adele is now walking and has lost 164 pounds. The most important thing was, that he knew what he was talking about and he made sure Adele was very comfortable and we understood every aspect of her situation before we left his office after each appointment. His staff is very friendly and competent. We will forever be grateful to this wonderful Doctor. Adele & Horace

Dr. Mishkel has been my doctor for over 17 years and I thank him for saving my life when I had a heart attack. Through the years of being my doctor he has been on top of using the latest equipment and knowledge to keep me healthy.His kindness towards his patients is unusual for modern day doctors. Sabrina and his office staff make sure everything runs smoothly and patients needs are taken care of.

I have been a patient of Dr. M for over 5 years and I've been extremely pleased by his and his entire staff's commitment to patient satisfaction. Unlike most practice's today, every office visit has been a very pleasant experience. Keep up the good work, guys!

I am shocked how anybody can give a negative response about Dr. Mishkel or his staff. Dr. Mishkel saved my life and his staff is always courteous and attentive and will always call back when needed. I recommend Dr. Mishkel every chance I get. S.Shafer

Dr.Mishkel and his staff...saved my life. Dr. Mishkel is a skilled clinitist I had a pain in my left arm but no other signs. First I did a treadmill stress test (10+ minutes) with a slightly abnormal...he had me do a nuclear stress test...again no problem or pain but EKG showed a slight abnormal reading...photos didn't show much. Dr. Mishkel said a cath may be called for and gave me a choice based on stress results...I asked would you do it and he said yes. So I have the cath thru my right wrist. He found not only a blood clot but also an artery 95% blocked....a stent was placed and within 36 hours I was back home. Dr. Mishkel is knowledgeable, he is compassionate and caring...but above all he is very practical and skilled in using medical tools. I highly recommend Dr. Mishkel for not only his medical knowledge but also his "bedside" manner and caring. I trust him implicitly.

I think Dr Mishkel's better days have passed. He provided a less than adequate exam, no ECG, didn't check carotid arteries, and prescribed a medication that was contraindicated with another medical problem that he knew I had.

Have to echo the sentiments of a couple of other reviewers. The staff at this practice are rude and unhelpful, and based on their responses they made it abundantly clear that they really don't care what the public reputation and perception is like. Plenty of specialists in Boca without having to be subjected to their nonsense.

Overall first class service. The office staff are professional, courteous, friendly & obliging. Dr Mishkel is an exceptional doctor - taking time to thoroughly review my history, examine me, listening to my concerns and explaining details in a clear understandable manner. He doesn’t rush through my appointments with him in the office. He visited me in hospital multiple times prior and post the procedure he performed. Dr Mishkel is highly knowledgeable and dedicated to his patients. I can not praise him or thank him enough.

He couldn't care less about you. He is a volume type of Doctor. Does only the basics to cover himself and practice. He is not up to date with technology or research. He treats mostly Old People, easy money. His staff is HORRIBLE. No costumer service skills. They are Rude and sarcastic. They have no manners. Specially the people at the front and billing. Not worth going unless you want a Doctor from the 1970s.

I have gone to Dr. Mishkel for several years. When I first went into afib, Dr. Mishkel regulated my heart with cardioversion. I did well for several years, but this year I again went into afib. This time I had extreme shortness of breath and tired easily. After another cardioversion procedure he discovered that I had a 95% blockage. He inserted a stent and I am feeling well and going to cardiac rehab. I recently returned from a trip to Europe where we walked a great deal, something I would not have been able to do prior to the stent. I was able to keep up with the group and I look forward to more travel in the future. Thanks to Dr. Mishkel I am again enjoying a normal life.

Dr. Mishkel truly cares about his patients. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment, and he always takes the time to answer all of my questions. He cares for more than your symptoms, he has also offered guidance for related issues - making lifestyle changes, medications, even the psychological after-effects of my heart attack. Yes, this is what any doctor SHOULD do, but from my experience it's a rare trait. Thank you Dr. Mishkel and staff!
