In 1995 I was sent to Dr. Miller because my first psychiatrist was retiring. Needless to say, I was NOT happy. No matter how loud I yelled, cursed and pouted Dr. Miller remained calm and talked me out of my snit with his smooth voice. His favorite thing to say was Dona, Dona, Dona....be quiet. I continued to see Dr. Miller until 12-2022 when I moved to Houston. I MISS DR. MILLER SO MUCH. He is a skilled psychiatrist, kind, compassionate, empathetic, sharp witted and funny. He will always be dear to me.

He's alright if your situation is straightforward. His visits are 15 mins for med management, always on time. He is not averse to experimenting with meds to get you functioning ASAP. I was taking 6 or 7 meds but my case was extreme and that allowed me to work. If your case becomes more complex requiring consultation with other medical professionals and looking at both physical and psych factors he is not your guy. He'll just stop returning your phone calls.

Dr. Miller is knowledgeable about medications that have been on the market for years and those that are newer, he asks the right questions, there is rarely a wait at his office, and his staff is attentive and organized.

He is a terrible doctor. He is condescending and quick to prescribe his go-to medication of Wellbutrin for everything. He is not knowledgeable about the medications he prescribes and I've caught him relaying inaccurate information to me. He is strict with keeping to his 15-minute appointments and will rush you if you need additional time. He rarely returns phone messages and I wind up having to call multiple times before reaching him.As a dr. myself, I would not recommend him.

I found him to be an aggressive biller. I had to go out of town for an meeting prior to the first appointment, returned the reminder call at 24 hours to say I couldn't attend, and was told their policy is 48 hours notice. I'm not sure how to initiate a relationship under this circumstance.
