Best colo_rectal surgeon east of MS River.
He and his staff did a section and anastomosis on me in Feb 2000 due to cancer—stage 2A pathologically. Due to his thoroughness in testing prior to colo-rectal surgery cardio group found a blockage developing in my heart (widow maker). So I had my heart surgically repaired first in Dec, then my colon and rectum operated on in Feb. Since, I have reached 77 yr old two weeks ago and am healthy.

Fabulous Doctor
I live in Florida and needed surgery on my intestinal tract. I drove to Pittsburgh, where I grew up and worked as a Registered Nurse, to have the operation. From the minute I walked into the exam room for the first time until my post op visit I felt extremely comfortable. Dr. Medich and his staff put me at ease and I was so glad I chose to go “home” for my surgery and have him do the procedure. Everything turned out better than I could have hoped. I am now out of surgery for about six weeks and I am doing fantastic. I’d like to thank Dr. Medich, his fellow, Dr. Amy Copeland and all of the staff that helped to make my return to health possible. I will never forget how much you all helped me! I am very grateful to you all. Sincerely, Kim A.

Definitely will recommend Dr Medich
In 2019 I had a colostomy at another hospital. I was very sick and was referred to Dr Medich at Passavant. He took care of me for 5 months before he could do the resection surgery. Then he took care of me for 3 more months. Dr Medich is the best doctor I have ever been to. His medical knowledge, his personality and genuine care for his patients is awesome. He saved my life

Dr. Medich did not get all the cancer out and 2 years later I was barely alive. Cleveland Clinic diagnosed the cancer same day and had me scheduled for surgery. Unfortuneately by the time I had surgery, the cancer had wrapped around my sacrum area, which now had to be removed. Now I cant walk without assistance or do much of anything.

I had surgery by Dr. Medich In June 2016. Previously, he saw me in his office about 2-3 times. He and his nurse, Kimberly Sainiak are both outstanding....manner, skill and knowledge. I had an issue following the surgery that was totally unrelated to how he performed his work. Kim is such a dedicated and helpful person with a true nurses heart. She was tremendous at getting me through some real trying times. She was very helpful advising me so well in properly treating the issue.

Dr. Medich deserves more than 5 stars. Outstanding physician, surgeon and person. He’s been my daughter’s surgeon since January 2017, when we were blessed to have had him there in the emergency room that evening. Our family and everyone we know that has or had him all say he’s the best and how wonderful he is. We love him.
