A terrific experience with a terrific doc...
A terrific experience with Dr. Martin. I underwent Clarifix. The doctor explained everything very clearly and went into detail when i asked for more detail. He was careful and thoughtful. Apparently vaso motor rhinitis can be difficult to deal with, but Martin was spot on with the Clarifix procedure. I've been through many tests over the past two years and early signs seem to indicate that the post-nasal condition can be managed. High praise for Dr. and his ENT group. Paul Borisoff

What happened
In 2022 Dr Martin was reccammended to perform a deeper biopsy with cosmetic repair .I was impressed with his eficiency and the outcome. Afterwards I went to him bcause I broke my nose and urgent care told me that I may need additional studies. First, making an appointment just about took an act of God to get anyone to answer the phone or return calls. When I finally did see him I had told him what the urgent care doctor had told me. I had a printout of the xray results which he was uninterested inlooking at. He aked me, What are you here for' I reponded, 'I broke my nose'. All he said was 'what do you want me to do about it'. He asked if I was able to breathe normally. I was having a bit of trouble. After hearing that he finally touched the outside of my tender nose, looked insde and said my septum was straight. So out the door I go with his final comment to come back if I had any problems. I felt I wasted my time going. I now have a bump on my nose where the break was.

Inconsiderate and unethical
1 star is too much. Finally, a few months later after the thyroid biopsy we were about to see him to discuss further plans of care, then we found out in the office that the doctor cancelled the appointment a day before, without notifying us. He was there in the office but let his MA to reschedule our appointment for another day ( a month later). My friend and I asked a favor at our work places to leave earlier to see him, but no consideration. On our first appointment, he spent 4 min with us, and only did a very basic physical exam of head and neck only after we asked him to do it. Very arrogant and unethical specialist.

RUN AWAY
Dr Martin cost me $13,000 and two years of absolute depression, anger, and misery. I went for what he referred to as a "simple septoplasty" to help my breathing. He asked if I wanted "cosmetic improvements" for roughly $2,500. I declined, as I have a family nose that I did not want to change. Just to breathe better. Leading up to the FIRST surgery, my hesitancy was met with him saying it was "routine" and nothing visibly would change." Fast forward a month, and my nose had collapsed and created a SEVERE saddle nose deformity (search the term, and see the horror). He went back in after six months, saying the correction would be "easy." Fast forward a month, and the saddle nose was basically back, but now included a giant lump on one nostril. When meeting with him after, he said it was "beyond his ability to correct" and suggested I see someone else bc it "has to be taken care of." I reached out for recs and even talked to a lawyer, but Dr and his office never responded.

Unprofessional
I found Dr.Martin unprofessional due to his lack of engagement . He did not introduce himself or explain any part of the exam , didn’t engage in what I was experiencing or the exam procedures . He was very preoccupied in another exam room . It was actually concerning what was going on . I left in pain after his exam . I still have no idea what the scope down my throat was . Also he was very rough with the extreme oral thrush I was experiencing with a wood stick whisked around my bleeding lips and cheeks . The worst EVER . A man of five words .

Dr. Martin is excellent and very efficient. However, his office staff are rude on the phones. I overpaid a copay and I have been unable to receive a refund. It has been frustrating as every time I call I am expected to wait 10-15 minutes.

Dr Martin is very nice and let us feel very comfortable. He did the adenoids and tonsils surgery to my 2.5 years old son. All other doctors frightened us but Doctor Martin promised us that we have nothing to worry about and he was right. He took a good care of my son and answer any question I had.

I had a terrible experience with this doctor, honestly he is extremely unprofessional. He messed up my nose and my health and refused to return my money. The result of his unprofessional work is the inflammation that I am battling currently with and when I went for the second opinion the doctor recommended me another surgery ASAP !

Dr. Martin has a very gentle way of handling his patient, with tremendous care. He is very knowledgeable and presents all the information while listening to everything the patient has to say. I did not feel rushed and I felt like I was very well taken care of when I went to see him. Further, I had an emergency with my father who is not even his patient, and he went above and beyond without even having to be asked to help me attend to my father's needs. I have the highest regard for Dr. Martin.
