Dr Markel did my knee replacement revision surgery after it was determined that the original keen replacement, that I had received a year earlier, had an infection. Immediately after the surgery it was obvious that prosthetic knee installed by Dr Markel was a huge improvement, with better range of motion and less swelling. Dr Markel's team was also better than the original surgeon's, with better communication and follow up.

He is very informative with the surgery and ask you what are your expectations and the decision of how you want to proceed.

I had a TKR a year ago. Was very pleased that ALL my questions were answered. That if I had any questions or problems I was able to reach him or his team and be able to talk to someone.

Six months check up from surgery

Went to CORE Institute knowing there are many Orthopedic Specialists. Had accompanied a family member there several years ago . Knew I would go there if I ever needed a specialist . Was positive all around .

Dr. Markel is the best. He’s done both my knee replacement surgeries. He and his staff are top notch. They provided me all the support and care needed. They go above and beyond to exceed your expectation. From the time you enter the registration to seeing him is great. I love how honest Dr Markel is. He does not sugar coat anything. Follow his instructions to the tee and you’ll be back to a great quality of life.

Scheduled to have a knee replacement and he answered all of my questions thoroughly and respectfully. No question was stupid or left unanswered. I've worked with him in the operating room and he's an excellent surgeon!

Dr. Markel not only is very knowledgeable but is able to explain his conclusions and what he can do about your problem clearly. Before another auto accident in January 2022 caused by a teenage driver, I wasn't using a cane. Last summer I twisted my ankle on the new stones Jim let Phil put on our drive even though the gravel was packed pretty well; since then I have been more limited in my activities. My nephew's death, my husband's month-long bout of bronchitis, our new Equinox getting bashed in the rear, and our daughter's knee surgery are only several of the disasters I've dealt with that pushed aside worry about my hip. Dr. Markel made me realize postponing surgery wasn't an option. He's great.

doctor was very short, seemed knowledgeable about needs to be done about my knee, but didn't care that I was quite upset about the only solution was surgery. he left abruptly & said someone would call me to set up an appointment for the surgery! NO explanation about the surgery itself.

One of the things that have stood out about my visits with Dr Marco is that he makes sure you totally understand all of the procedures all of your options and he tells you how it is he puts responsibility on the patient to make sure that they follow what his recommendations are and he holds you accountable and not only does he do that but he makes sure that he does a great job with servicing you too excellent doctor quick thorough and I'm glad that he is my knee doctor.
