Dr. David Mahon, MD

I went to the emergency room I July with severe stomach pain after having previous stomach surgeries at another hospital. They finally figured out my pain which was a bowel obstruction. Dr Mahon took on my case after I explained my other surgeries and reassured me this situation would never happen again which was caused by previous surgeries. Instead of transferring me to my previous surgeon he took me under his wing and did surgery on a Saturday to fix my bowel obstruction. He was very understanding and told me everything he was going to do to make sure I would no longer be in pain. He came to see me the six days I stayed after surgery and made sure he answered all my questions. Since the surgery I haven’t had any stomach issues related to surgery except some bacteria which my doctor said it’s common after surgery.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mahon. I normally don't leave reviews but I felt compelled to due to the incredible care I've received through Dr. Mahon. He is patient, knowledgable, and the kind of person you trust before going into surgery. My surgery went very smoothly-- I cannot recommend Dr. Mahon highly enough.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mahon. My husband first saw him for a wound that wouldn't heal. Dr. Mahon was the first doctor who took the time to really figure out what was going on and eventually healed the wound. When my husband needed surgery, we went back to Dr. Mahon and are so grateful for the excellent care we received. My husband is doing exceptionally well thanks to Dr. Mahon. Great doctor who provided great care.

I would give a zero if I could. Nice guy, terrible doctor. He made a huge medical mistake on me and I suffered for a long time! Go to the other surgeons in the practice, they are great and one saved my life! I am giving 5 stars on the rest of this survey because of Dr Conway

So appreciative of everything this excellent doctor did to help me through emergency surgery. I believe Dr. Mahon saved my life -- and my family and I are so grateful for the tremendous care he provided. I must also say that his communications skills are excellent -- not only in speaking with me but also in keeping my family informed of my condition. He is a great doctor who also truly cares about his patients.

Great bedside manor, made me feel at ease for appendectomy and what steps would be taken during the surgery. I was extremely anxiety ridden about the entire process.

I was diagnosed with appendicitis in the ER at Northwest Community Hospital and told I would need surgery that day. While I received outstanding care in the ER, I knew that ultimately "everything would be fine" when Dr. Mahon was called in as the surgeon. He took time to explain the procedure, and answered all of my questions - despite the fact that I was sleep deprived, medicated and very uncomfortable. He is competent, compassionate and caring!

Dr. Mahon performed a laporoscopic gallblader operation on me. He saw me in the hospital after i came to the emergency room in pain. He was very kind and patient as i asked a lot of questions, and he made sure things moved along. Everything went well...and he was very attentive after the operation..,making sure i was comfortable, well cared for and healing. I was very glad Dr. Mahon took care of me.
