Dr. MacDougall performed my Cervical surgery, at Memorial Herman, in Houston Med. Ctr. I highly recommend this physician, kind, good bedside manner, and a brilliant surgeon. He found what others had missed in my spine. I thank him so very much.

Very compassionate, competent, and excellent neurosurgeon in Baytown! He makes sure he treats patients with the best neurosurgical care possible for your specific condition. He will give you objective options without pushing for surgery right away if he thinks there could be alternatives. Definitely NOT after the money. Will treat you based from the best appropriate intervention.

I saw Dr. MacDougall regarding some neck pain and degenerative disc with stenosis. I really wanted to try conservative measures first with Physical Therapy. He explained to me my MRI results and was not pushy as to a surgical intervention. He agreed for me to try Therapy. He took his time and listened and provided a care plan that was right for me. I am thankful that with his years of expertise, and also success of many surgeries he has performed that he is a humble, compassionate, wise man.

Dr. MacDougal and his staff are excellent. I have had 3 surgeries and all have been successful. My only issue is with the waiting list to see him. You need not get in hurry because sometimes the only opening is more than a month away, and there is no one else to see.

I have had several appointments with Dr MacDougall over two years and my impression of him is that he is not concerned about my medical issues as it relates to my well being. Although he listened to me explain my symptoms he was kind of nonchalant and not really listening to my concerns and needs. Also information I stated at the office visit was misstated in my office visit notes. I felt that since I did not want to have surgery I was just another patient with a number. Next number please.

very disappointed be aware of this doctor , had surgery planned and ready to go he is in my insurance network .. then all of a sudden they threw this $600+ "P.A" fee that i knew nothing about , mind you my procedure is 100% covered . but the "P.A" fee came out of no where that they said had to be paid upfront ... I honestly think they were trying to pull a fast one on me . procedure was canceled because the refuse to corporate with my insurance . which is 1 of the top of the line insurances .

Dr. MacDougall has performed three surgeries on me and I have an appointment for his review on a possible 4th surgery. I trust him so much that I am paying out of pocket to see him because since I had to change insurance, he is not in network on my insurance now. I value his opinion that much! I feel like he is the best neurosurgeon in the Houston area.
