All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Dismissive and discriminatory
Mediocre clinically. Substandard otherwise. Does not look at the entire person. Will dismiss any areas related to mental health even during grieving process of a loss of family member. Has been reported to the state.

Dismissive, unprofessional
I have a condition that isn't fully diagnosed where I randomly have episodes of bronchial and diaphragmatic spasms and a tingling/throbbing sensation in half of my face and neck. I know I need to see a neurologist and/or pulmonologist about this and I'm willing to pay the fees for scans and tests. The way my insurance is set up, I'm forced to see a primary care physician first, which is how David was automatically assigned to me. During my visit I was honest to David about my cannabis, alcohol, and nicotine use. His response was straight out of the Reefer Madness era. Making claims that have no basis in medical literature. He refused to refer me to a neurologist and instead referred me to psychiatry until I stop using all substances. The problem is that my symptoms predate my substance use and do not correlate with how much I use, so there is clearly another factor. This logic did not prevail, however, and David seemed to get a kick out of telling me how wrong I was.

On June 10, 2019 I had a Wellness appointment with Dr. Lozar. I mentioned that I had felt a lump on my left breast. He asked me when was the last time that I had a mammogram and I replied January 30, 2019. He then replied that it was probably nothing. I asked him if someone could take a look at it and he said no. He could have looked at it himself or someone else in the Carlsbad office. He didn't recommend me going to another department within Kaiser to have it checked out. I knew I had a lump on my left breast, so I took it in my old hands to have it examined at another Kaiser facility. I have breast cancer and will be having surgery on August 9th.

Dr. Lozar is a real professional. I had left Kaiser due to an issuance change and had recently come back. He's very patient, informative and takes great care of his patients. He is by far one of the better doctors I have had. He looks you in the eyes and listens to what you have to say, instead of just processing you like number as so many of my phycicians have done on the past. Cheers Dr. Lozar Thanks, Dylan
