Dismissive and Rude
Dr. Kaplan arrived in the room and said two words and then took a personal (non-urgent) phone call. He did not apologize for taking the phone call or say excuse me. He did not review my chart beforehand. He was very dismissive of my symptoms. He ordered an ultrasound and did not review the scan himself, instead let the nurse (not a radiologist) give her opinion of what she saw, and he took her word for it. I would not recommend him.

LCMC BILLING
Cannot say enough about this great doctor, however his billing goes through LCMC and they are quick to not get all the insurance information and very quick to send a bill that you do not owe. Seniors beware of LCMC and their billing department!

I WAS REFFERED TO DR. KAPLAN BY MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR FOR FLUID COLLECTING IN MY RIGHT LEG DUE TO THE WEST NILE VIRUS. DR. KAPLAN AND HIS STAFF WERE VERY POSITIVE AND THROUGH AFTER A SHORT WAIT. I AM AWAITING RESULTS FROM A SCAN HIS OFFICE PERFORMED AFTER MY VISIT.

The staff was very helpful and professional, as was Dr. Kaplan. Waiting time was minimal. When Dr.Kaplan came to my room, he answered my questions and was very calm and reassuring. No one was rushed. Altogether, a very good experience.
